What an interesting place. In what feels like a truck truckstop or industrial setting? This little restaurant is tucked into a crude building. I have friends who would’ve walked in and immediately walked out. Can you say rustic? It is from the photos but the reviews were all really good.
The woman that runs this place is incredibly gracious. I asked for a recommendation, and she suggested the butter chicken and rice, which I went with, and was not disappointed. I could’ve easily split the portions with another person and have plenty to eat.
I just wanted to glass of water so she gave me a cup, and I actually had to go around the corner in the building from the restaurant and use a drinking fountain to serve myself.!
She asked me if the butter chicken should be mild, and I said yes. The food came and it was amazingly delicious. I would rate the spiciness as medium, and it was really flavorful. Few minutes after I started eating, she came and asked me how things were and I said great and she actually brought me a complementary bottle of water. If that were not enough a couple minutes later she brought me a complimentary bread that was excellent.
If you like Indian food, this is definitely a place you wanna try passing through. But lower your expectations...
Read moreThe people are very nice. Though, the woman does not speak much English. Ordering was a bit difficult because of the language barrier. They have a menu board, but only some of the items were available for order. The food was delicious and fresh. It was served on a tray all together in plastic take out containers. The atmosphere was more on the "is it safe to be here" side.. but it was clean. The building seemed empty except for the restaurant and the seating was the old plastic bench and table attached style.. the florescent lighting in the eating area kept flickering off but a couple stayed on the whole time. The ladies bathroom door does not latch. It was an experience, but it was delicious and authentic and we will be going back. They sell drinks there and she gave us a free bottle of water, but I'll be bringing more water to drink next time. The food was as hot...
Read moreDon't listen to the other reviews, they're all bots. I heard them using the microwave on our food and it tasted like mediocre leftovers at best. The restaurant itself is super shady and the tables were all dirty. The lady was nice but really hard to communicate with and she brought her daughter, who wouldn't stop bothering us and interrupting our conversations while trying to touch our baby. They don't have a high chair either. I cannot state enough that the food was not good. I ordered the chicken curry and it was way too runny and just tasted like water and chicken. Plus they don't even give you enough rice, which shouldn't be that hard considering they just microwave it. Disappointing experience after reading all the other reviews....
