Booked while on the road, reviews were good, priced ok, was endorsed by Wyndham and sounded like a decent stop…..absolutely horrible decision. I would not recommend, ever! Booked a room with 2 queen beds, beds were doubles, super disappointed and falsely advertised. Upon entering room the dank, overpowering smell of mold and mildew hung heavily in the air. Was around 1130 at night, we were all exhausted and had to use the restroom only to find not a stitch of toilet paper. My husband had to go to office and ask for some. Carpet was so dirty, wet and sticky feeling my kids put their shoes back on.Because of the horrid smell we all hesitant to sleep in the beds, but gave in because we were so tired and afraid we wouldn’t find another room that late. By the time we retrieved toilet paper and all used the bathroom it was after midnight so we were unable to cancel reservation, wouldn’t have received a refund. We checked out without breakfast. At 830 there wasn’t much out aside from waffle maker and bread for toast plus because of room conditions we were hesitant to eat there. We had another 10 hours of our journey home, got in the car and within 20 mins our vehicle reeked just like the room, even after a shower our hair and fresh clothes all stunk, still smelling it, we have 3 more hours of driving and the first thing we all plan to do once home is shower. Do not book, you will regret it. Either we got the worst room they offer or the reviews are outdated or staged, smh. Also, whether you believe this to be helpful or not, I will mention that both my husband and myself discussed on our drive that something was off about the property, I have nothing other than gut feeling to go off of but both of us felt as if we were being watched. Like I said no proof but we are both pretty attuned to our surroundings and was very creepy that we both felt that. Did not feel safe and sadly left dirty, hungry, smelly and barely rested. DO...
Read moreI have been staying at this hotel several times a year for about 5 years. Each stay, the hotel is in further decline and unkempt. The carpets are stained and nasty. The bed covers, sheets and blankets have stains, cigarette burn holes in them, the towels are thread bare and pretty useless. But the icing on the cake was bed bugs. This is twice. Once I can overlook as long as I find them first. Twice is a big NOPE. When I pulled the covers back to get ready for bed, two bed bugs were on top of the sheet, and they were alive. ||This place does allow pets and there is a good area for walking pets, as long as you stay away from the west side by the head high tall grass because if you brush that grass or your pet gets into the tall grass, it will come out with ticks. The ticks are heavy there. It needs mowed and sprayed badly. The whole hotel is run down and in bad need of a major refurbishment. If you have hip problems and unable to squat down really low, don't get a room here, because all of the toilets are sized for small children and VERY low to the ground. ||For whatever reason they no longer turn on the outside room lights at night, so the east side of the hotel is very dark at night and feels unsafe if you have to go out after dark. This hotel is right on the I-44 so it does get a LOT of traffic, as well as a lot of truck traffic. This was my last stay here. I'll stay in Claremore or elsewhere before staying here again. ||Also, if you have reservations for Labor Day weekend, don't be surprised if they rescind your reservations (this has happened) and give them to people attending the...
Read moreThis place STINKS! I mean literally. The smell in the lobby when I checked in was foul, but I figured it wouldn't be a problem since I was in a separate building behind the part of the motel containing the lobby. I was wrong. The foul smell was as bad or worse in the building where my room was. There was a door to the building with a card reader to allow only guest to enter, but the lock was broken and it was open to anyone. This presents a significant security risk. The smell in the room was not as bad, but I could still smell it. It really is an awful odor. It is worse than an outhouse smell. It was ridiculously expensive considering the location. They charged me $99 for a single room for one adult for one night even though their entry on google maps says $49. The location was good for me only because it happened to be about halfway through my 20 hour drive. Other than that there are no nearby attractions or sights as far as I could see. I was road tired after 10 hours of driving and it was just about sunset, so I stopped there. Had I known about the cost and the horrific odor, I would have kept on driving. I passed several suitable motels on my morning drive that were cheaper and probably didn't stink. I recommend that you keep on driving past this place. The service when I checked in around 9:30 pm was unpleasant. The woman who checked me in was surly to the point of almost being rude. I got up for the free "breakfast". It was just waffles, bananas, yogurt and dry cereal. Just keep on driving. There are many better motels a...
