The Pine Cone — Restaurant in Big Prairie Township

I really wish I could add a photo to this review, but every time I think about it, my ice cream is either half gone, or gone completely!

The staff is wonderful and the place always looks very nice and clean.

Every time I go, I get their Superman Ice Cream with their homemade Waffle Cone. Absolutely delicious! I will say that their Superman is the very best Superman I've ever had! I bragged on it enough that my husband (who ALWAYS orders Milkshakes) had to get it the last time we went. He also agreed that it was the best he has ever had!

Thank you to my friend Brandy (and curse her haha) for getting me craving this place! She gets something different every time and everything looks wonderful!

I am a very healthy eater who eats pretty strict, but I cave whenever our friends invite us here!

Already craving it again!

We go camping about six times every summer This ice cream shop the pine cone is by Sandy Beach a newaygo county campground. I have a thing for ice cream. I can't help it if there's one by the campground I'm visiting. This one has a very large menu for food and a good menu for ice cream. I've only had ice cream here but from what I'm told by the locals the food is good. There was a couple there who were having date night dinner. You don't dine in here. You can take your food to go or dine out on the picnic tables...

If you order a turtle sundae, 5 "swirls" is small, 7 "swirls" is a med and 9 is a large. However if you don't swirl all the way around the cup it leaves customer feeling cheated. I wish I had taken a picture of my sundae, as the "swirls" only went halfway around the cup. All the chocolate and caramel were on bottom. So I may as well had a small vanilla cone. There were no other customers at the time so they can't say they were rushed. Next time I want a full cup I'm ordering a malted instead. Needs outside tables...
