I run a youth organization in the area that is restricted to using checks as a sole source of payment to other organizations. As a token of appreciation to our highly involved volunteers, we reached out to local businesses in the area inquiring as to which companies were willing to accept our checks as payment for gift cards so we can give our volunteers a list to choose from. Through messages with the manager of the Biglerville Subway branch (very polite and professional), the owner, Gina, had agreed to the exchange and I was told she had to be present to override the transaction - completely acceptable. After a few stop ins (while I was in the area), I was unable to catch up with Gina. I called the location a few times and was unable to match availabilities or employees had no idea when she would be in next. I was able to finally pin point a time I could at least get another volunteer to go to Subway when Gina was there. I called the store that day just to confirm Gina was in; however, I was met with complete hostility as Gina was "too busy" to talk to me to confirm she was in, but was able to at least tell me she was in until 3pm. Even after all of that, because the volunteer did choose a subway gift card, I sent the other volunteer to pick it up prior to 3pm. He arrived at 2:30 and Gina was not even there to 'override' the use of a check for the transaction. I was also left a very 'less than professional' voicemail informing me she cannot afford to give 'handouts' to anyone. As a reminder, I was NOT looking for ANY handouts, but was a CUSTOMER attempting to make a transaction. This was WEEKS in the making with a lot of back and forth between her, her staff and myself. I can understand she may have forgotten about the several phone calls and messages I had left prior. However, her own assumptions that lead to the hostile voicemail were uncalled for. Needless to say, the Biglerville Subway will certainly not be getting any business from me personally or...
Read moreI VERY RARELY LEAVE BAD REVIEWS UNLESS ITS MULTIPLE THINGS...BUT THIS PLACE TAKES THE CAKE....can say if you go here in the afternoon when the adults are working... no issues, but the last 4 times I have ordered in the evening there are multiple things wrong on every order...And literally order 4-6 subs multiple times and eveytime EVERY SUB has SOMETHING WRONG...cold meat missing ingredients etc...and when you call to address it.... NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE...and when you show up before the time they close DOOR IS LOCKED and there are people who see you with a sub bag in your hand because the order you just picked up is wrong and they don't EVEN ADKNOWLEDGE YOUR PRESENCE it gets a bit frustrating...UPDATE THEY CANT PULL OUT FLATBREADS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO BUSY BUT YET CAN STAND THERE AND HAVE A PERSONAL CONVERSATRION FOR OVER 5 MINUTES WHILE...
Read moreBiglerville subway has the worst service. They barely put anything on your subs. The employees have ignorant attitudes. On top of that they start closing up early putting chairs up on the tables to end the day about 1 and a half hour too early. And stand there looking confused on why your leaving to eat somewhere else. If you go in there when they have things cleaned up early they don't have barely any of the toppings out that people would want on the sub. Plus you can sense the attitudes the employees have. I won't ever be going to this subway and wasting my money again. A lot of other locals who were excited like myself about having a subway in Biglerville feel the same way....
I never give bad reviews like this by the way but I honestly feel the owner's should know if they had a better staff that followed the rules they would have a lot...
