Growing up in Texas and I waited years and years to see a Shipley Do-Nuts again living on the coast in Mississippi. I got excited and came here and all was fine and then I started seeing this new person there by the name of Jeff that is not the owner or the manager and they act beyond entitled this person is childish. Having a bad day? Why not take it out on the paying customer for being patient and waiting to be helped but what they are left with is the opposite experience then any other Shipley Do-Nuts I have ever been to. This person has zero reason to be serving the public or employed at all. They cannot stand taking your order even with you knowing what you want and them not having customers or being in the middle of a task when you arrive. On top of that and he tells you they filled the doughnuts with a different filling as it is late in the morning and they donât feel like making more bavarian filling and when you order the doughnuts and are fine with it he then tries to tell you 4 donuts is 6 when you told him I want 6 donuts today. You correct him and continue you do in fact still want 6 donuts and he criticizes what doughnuts you pick if they are the remaining bavarian doughnuts from the last on the shelf and then he becomes angry you ordered them as if they are meant to be wall mounts and not items for sale. Donât think of using a credit card as they will leer over the card reader to make sure you do not select âno tipâ as if it was hard to be a complete jerk to the customer and then they claim you skipped the receipt option. Card reader says $10 and asks if you want to tip or not and then asks for your payment and then everything is on their end.. Definitely not the customerâs fault the way their machine is setup. Show up with cash and if Jeff is there then RUN before they chase you out the door with a broom for ordering when slow and nothing is being done and YOU are trying to GIVE...
Read moreShipleyâs Donuts in Biloxi is nothing short of amazing! On my first visit, I grabbed half a dozen, and by the next week, I found myself coming back for a full dozen because theyâre just that good. The donuts are incredibly light, fluffy, and downright irresistible.
Their cake donuts, in particular, are a delightful surprise. Youâd expect them to be dense and heavy, but theyâre so light and airyâitâs an absolute treat. I highly recommend the blueberry cake donut; itâs packed with flavor and pure joy in every bite. As for the regular donuts, the filled ones are fantastic, and their fruity flavors are all incredible, with just the right balance of sweetness.
The ambience takes you back to a simpler time when donut shops were straightforward yet welcoming, and this one adds a touch of southern charm that feels so fitting for Mississippi. They also have a convenient drive-through, and the staff are wonderfully kind, patient, and helpful with your order.
Whether youâre a local or just passing through, Shipleyâs is a must-visit! Youâll find yourself craving these donuts long...
Read moreI've never been to Shipley Do-nuts but was so pleasantly surprised by this experience. I called ahead of time to verify an item I saw online was available. The gentleman confirmed they had that item in stock and I asked if he could hold that and he said he could. Never having been to this business, I did not know what to expect. This establishment was very clean, well lit, well stocked and obviously smelled delicious. The gentleman who I spoke to on the phone assisted me with selecting other items and ringing me up. He was really friendly and let me know that I can order online as well. I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone who wants donuts or kolaches in the Popps Ferry area. There are several other donut shops within 5 miles including a national chain. I would recommend for anyone drive out of their way to purchase from this store. Very pleased with my experience from...
