Birdseye Dairy Barn — Restaurant in Birdseye

My family and I have always loved going to Dairy Barn throughout the summer season. It is somewhere we enjoy going to eat and to enjoy some ice cream multiples times a month. We decided to go for the first time this year after our Sunday drive. I called ahead to make sure they were open the same times as their website stated. I wasn’t sure if they were different because of the virus still. It was 7:00 pm and the girl who answered very rudely told me they were open until 9 pm BUT they turned off their grills at 8:30/8:45 pm. We arrived around 7:30 pm. My mom went to order while the rest of us stayed in the car. She ordered our burger first and the girl rudely turned to the other girl asking if they were still taking food orders. My mom stated that we called ahead and they told us their grill would be open for another hour. She got all of our order in and we waited in the car. When they called our number, she went up to get it and the girl rudely asked her what she had ordered. My mom told her and she rudely handed her the burger and fries opening the box saying that was all that was ready. She brought that to the car for my grandmother. She went back and got the rest of the food which was handed to her rudely again. My mom told the other girl working, “I don’t know what her problem is but she is being very rude.” This is the first time I have ever left a bad review on anything. I’m deeply saddened that we will not be returning again. I did not even have my mom go back and get ice cream when we were done eating. It was not worth being talked to and treated awful. It was one of my favorite places to go! The food was good like always, I just hate the service was so poor. I hate even having to leave this review. I hope something will be done to help. I would hate for multiple people to be treated...

I had a very unpleasant experience here. On the way home from a softball tournament in Jasper I decided to stop here with my daughter for food and treats due to the good reviews.

We arrived just before 6pm, the Google hours said it closed at 7pm. We look at the menu and go to place a food order, but when we go to the window to place a food order they said they were no longer taking food orders because they were closing early. So my daughter decided on the Oreo avalanche, which looked great. We got on the road heading home and she said there was a giant piece of ice and I looked over and it wasn't ice but a piece of glass.

I'm obviously very upset but also want to let them know in case something has happened that way they can fix it. I immediately turned around and returned shortly after 6pm and they were already closed up (not 5 minutes after we left). I banged on the window with no answer so I went to the side door and someone answered. The person said well I think that's plastic(see picture) and I'm not sure how that got in there almost seemingly acting like we put it there. They then blamed it on the packaging. They tried giving us a new one but I had an extremely traumatized 10 year old that is now terrified of ice cream. They did give me my money back in the end.

I really don't think this was on purpose but regardless it was a very disturbing situation for...

Live in town but won't be back. We order from here once a week. But after today I won't be back! got my kids and wife food. Didn't check it when I picked it up. Came home gave my wife her mushrooms and let me tell you this, she is not a picky person at all. she will eat almost anything. But she opened her food up and they wasn't even cooked! They was soggy! Looked like they dethawed it and put it in the bag! She was gagging it look disgusting! I brought it back to the dairy barn, the girl working the widow seen it and ask me what's wrong with it! Are you kidding me! I said mam this is not cooked! She said ya but what else is wrong with it.. called the guy cooking to the front she said I told her it wasn't cooked and he rudely said well I cooked it! Just wow. They really need some adults there watching these kids because they are not cooking food and are gonna make...
