I was passing through and had to try this out. Their salsa is very good, could of used a tad but more cilantro and less salt, but overall better than most places. Chile rellenos are probably the best you'll get around, especially since El Nopalitos in Corydon changed their cheese. Chimicanga was good,a little smaller than expected. Server brought my food out, didn't get a refill on the salsa and don't recall being asked if everything was good. I figured since I was impressed with the Chile rellenos and salsa I would add some to my order to go. What makes no sense about most Mexican restaurants is that they charge a to go fee. if that's for the chips and salsa,I get it. But I was buying a large salsa for $10.99. There is no reason to charge me $2.25 for a to go order when I dined in. I was there! I just ordered more food, but not to eat there. I couldn't explain it to the guy. Oh well, so after tips and to go fees,I spend $35 for 1 chim, 3 Chile rellenos, and a large salsa. Next time I'm just going to order what I want while I sit, eat one bite, and say I have an emergency and need to leave. Only way to beat this crazy system. Music was rather loud imo, and of course the decor was about the day of the dead, come on,celebrate life,I don't need to see paintings of people who want to look like they...
Read moreall a person can ask for in life is a bit of respect , but that is not something you will find here. we had ordered a vegetarian dish , but instead received extra meat in the meal ... called about the issue , and received blatant disrespect. the woman on the phone told us it was OUR fault for choosing the vegetarian option (which is the personal preference of our friend who's order got messed up) , and was just all-around rude when all we were trying to do was kindly make them aware of the issue so it didn't happen to someone else. unfortunately , we were told that the kitchen just automatically assumes the meat that goes into the dish when ordering the enchilada. so for someone with dietary restrictions / preferences , this was incredibly disappointing. i can only imagine and fear what would happen in the event someone has a legitimate ALLERGY , if the kitchen just decides to assume the preferences of the order , regardless of any modifications ... so i'm just putting my 2 cents out there , for those who have any kind of special food restrictions / preferences (regardless of origin) to...
Read moreFood might have been good if I could eat it. Received the wrong food after ordering online, ordered "vegeterian enchiladas" in the VEGETARIAN section (3 cheese and bean). I got chicken enchiladas, and when I called to try and get a refund or at least rectify the problem the lady on the phone was incredibly rude.
She said that it was my fault that I ordered online and didnt check to make sure they had the right order. Perhaps I was wrong to think I should get what I ask for.
They offered no refunds and responded with "k" and "whatever" after I voiced my concerns that their menu should be fixed. I'm going to call the manager and hopefully they will be more competent than their employees. Otherwise we will not be coming back and we will ensure people know how this...
