4/9:Reply to KK. I do not reply to vendors emails anymore. It is your responsibility to know what is going on at your stores. Not the customers responsibility to call out your negatives. ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE A QUALITY SERVICE FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. KK has failed to uphold its standards. And stop being naive. It’s not just the 1st Ave store. Nor, is this the first time. I used to buy KK donuts for my customers. Due to the poor service and lack of product, Publix is better, quicker, and easier. Plus, there is no reason for me to repeat myself. EVERYTHING IS LISTED BELOW. 🫵 closed ALL of the stores with good service. 😒 I have reached the point that KK is not worth the experience. Nope, I’m done. Wish you a Happy Easter.

Sad to say KK has given up!! Especially on its Southern roots. I used to always look forward to stopping with my grandparents at the Irondale store. We went after every Bama football game at Legions Field in the 70s. As a kid, it was pure amazement to watch them make the donuts. And “HOT & READY” truly meant too hot to hold!! Now, almost all stores have closed, don’t make all the varieties of donuts every day, or just run out of plain donuts in middle of the day!! Employees don’t care, they won’t even open dining anymore. Can’t get a simple order correct, and cost $20 for a dozen!!! Stopped by Eastlake store at 1:30pm today and ordered a mixed dozen. 3 plain glazed, 3 chocolate covered crème filled, & 6 raspberry filled. No, raspberry so switched to lemon filled Got 3 glazed, 3 chocolate glazed donuts (not creme filled) and 6 lemon. Needless to say, only 1 person out of 4 got to enjoy $20 of donuts!! Then when pulled back around to drive thru to get it fixed, the worker was rude and argued with me to the point I left. Yep, KK has given up. Pathetic excuse for service. Sad to say, I have probably eaten my last Krispy Kreme donut. Such a sad way for a legend to go out. Thanks for...
Read moreI'm giving this establishment two stars because IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! 😱 I went through the drive-thru & when I pulled up to the speaker the young man had me wait approximately FIVE minutes before taking my order. Mind you there was only one other vehicle ahead of me & ABSOLUTELY no one inside. He took my order which was, to say the least, a headache because he asked three times what my second drink & what the last two doughnuts were! I FINALLY get to the window where it takes him another FOUR minutes to even come to. I hand him my money & apparently he didn't have enough in his drawer to break it so he went somewhere to do so. Which took him 13 minutes! He returned, handed me my change when he asked for a FOURTH time what my second drink was, FOUR minutes later he hands me my doughnuts. Which were wrong after I told him THREE times which ones I wanted. But I couldn't just tell him right when he handed them to me because he'd walked away yet again. So, I waited another THREE minutes for him to return with my hot coffee when I was FINALLY able to inform him of his mistake. I handed him the wrong ones THREE minutes later he handed me the right ones. Another FIVE minutes later he brings my last drink to complete my order. But I still needed cream & sugar for my coffee, which took him another THREE minutes to return with it! So, for FIVE doughnuts, a small hot coffee & a large frozen mocha we were in the drive-thru a total of 40 minutes & that was just the time we spent WAITING! That's not including conversation time! And to top it all off I had my THREE MONTH OLD SON with me! Anyone with children knows how rough it is when you have to wait! So, if you're in the mood for Krispy Kreme & have all the time in the world to wait, this is the...
Read moreMy son and I were really looking forward to grabbing a treat from Krispy Kreme on a Friday night, only to be met with major disappointment at the location off of 1st Avenue N. We arrived well before the posted closing time, but to our surprise, the location had already shut down—two full hours early. When we pulled up to the drive-thru, an employee opened the window, made a cutting motion across his neck to signal they were closed, and then shut the window. No apology, no explanation, not even a word.
My son was so disappointed—he had been talking about getting donuts all day. I understand if something unexpected caused them to close early, but basic courtesy and communication go a long way. A simple “We’re sorry, we had to close early” would have made all the difference.
We’ve always loved Krispy Kreme, but this experience really left a bad taste in our mouths—especially for my child who didn’t understand why something so simple had to feel...
