Ordered iced lattes for my boyfriend and I; one vanilla bean flavor and the other vanilla bourbon. Both came out too milky. I got almost no coffee flavor and the vanilla flavoring tasted identical between each latte. We also ordered a ham and cheese croissant that was served cold despite the barista reheating it twice and we found it to also be very oily.

The staff seemed nice and I’m sure they would remake the latte to have less milk if we had asked and reheated the croissant a third time but by the time we had gotten our order they were already very busy with many other customers who had suddenly piled in after us.

There is a lot of competition in terms of other great cafes in this area so I had hopes that this place had something that made it stand out from them. Unfortunately the old barber shop theme and a overly milky vanilla bourbon latte doesn’t make this cafe worth the trek for us with other options more accessible and central to main roads...

In the day and age with a mutltitude of coffee options on the planet, you would think an independent like Lucky would try to give a damn. They don't. From the beginning the staff act like entitled brats. The person taking my order was trying to be professional until another staff member started yelling in her ear right in the middle of my order. I could tell she was shocked. Then, this same obnoxious staffer in a white dress was in the back talking loudly about how much cooler it was in their area than the front of the house where we were all suffocating with no AC on a 90 degree day. My drink was so so and my sister's drink was horrible. She complained to the manager that it tasted artificial and all he said was "it's all natural." Ive been going to Lucky’s for years now, but I was caught off guard by how delicious their strawberry matcha special was this month. I have tried many an iced strawberry matcha from big city cafes but this takes the cake. The matcha syrup is a light pink color, not artificial at all, and tastes like a subtle strawberry ice cream flavor but not overpowering. I wish it came in a 64 oz size it is that good. 😭 A sweet barista who seemed new-ish with short light hair made it for me I wish I knew her name because she did amazing!
