Quarton Lake — Attraction in Birmingham

Beautiful mini lake near downtown birmigham... Has a tiny "pier" to quietly sit with a nice view on the water and its surrounded by a dirt trail which goes about 3/4 of the way around. Also great for runners, a little hilly but if you go all the way around including the small portion on maple you end up running/walking exactly a mile. Very nicely maintained area to walk around the lake, with trees, flowers, and ducks. It's mostly level ground with peastone surface. There are also a lot of beautiful and architecturally interesting homes to see if you look across the lake or over your opposite shoulder. Very peaceful and serene. The people I encountered were very friendly, and so were the doggies. My only wish would be that fur parents pick up after their fur babies, especially since people use the beautiful scenery for memorable pictures like weddings and 1st birthdays.
