Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe - Liberty Park — Restaurant in Birmingham

I feel a bit bad leaving this review…the food was good and the service was nice enough. They did a nice job keeping tables bussed, and the wifi is always great. However, I left feeling really grossed out. After my meal, I went to their women’s restroom and the soap dispenser was totally unusable. No soap would dispense, and there was no other squirt bottle on the sink. Yucky to think all the customers and employees using it without properly washing up. An employee used it before me, came out, and went straight into the kitchen area. I’m sure she washed her hands back there…but really unappetizing to think about all the things...

Food was ok at this location, other locations are more up to par. The staff needs to learn how to coordinate better. Instead of our main dishes coming out at the same time, we got our meals in stages. I got mine first, and waited another 10 minutes for my moms meal to arrive. Which mean I ate a cold meal. This is restaurant etiquette 101. I have been both a cook and a server in restaurants in my younger years. This has always been expressed as very important in every restaurant I’ve worked in. I ordered on-line for a Sunday evening dinner thinking I would just pop in and pick my order off the take-out rack. Instead I entered to find an empty take-out rack and a number of other people waiting for their take-out orders. During the time I waited I observed a staff that could not have been working harder or faster to prepare our food and get us on our way. In addition, the person who was in charge was very polite and attentive to all of us. All staff were apologetic for the delay. My food was excellent, as always. Thank you. I am a huge Taziki’s...
