I simply love Classic coffee shop vibes!! When I go to a new restaurant I always say, "It's my first time here." Not for congratulatory reasons but to let the person know, I might need help. I asked the cashier if I could substitute the ham for turkey in the ham and cheese croissant and add an egg. He answered it and was able to accommodate. I then asked about a smoothie and asked for him to create the smoothie out of their options. Paid for my order went and sat down with friends. The breakfast sandwich was brought out with my friend's order. I guess the server thought that it was apart of her order. It had been placed in the Pani press and was pretty flat. It didn't look like a croissant at all! They did that in order to melt that particular cheese. It was lukewarm by the time we realized it was mine. My friend asked about my smoothie. I went inside and it was sitting on the counter. The young man was like, "I hope that you like it? Can you tell me what you taste?" I said to him, "With the options that you offer, you can't mess up a smoothie!" Other than these 2 hick ups,...
Read moreI got an iced coffee with almond milk and a granola bar. They were both disgusting. I wanted a breakfast burrito but the woman said it would take 30 to 40 minutes to make one. This was on a Wednesday and they weren't busy. There was no waiting line, and it takes a few minutes to cook an egg and heat a tortilla. The milk was bad in my coffee. My husband explained this to the woman. She got offensive and said that is what almond milk looks like in coffee. We go to several coffee shops and it never looks like the milk is curdling. We asked for another drink and she got mad and said okay and walked off. She never spoke to him again and he was given the new drink from another worker. I tasted the new drink....and it still tasted bad. I love local coffee shops. But this was the worst tasting coffee I have ever had. Ever. I would recommend using the free coffee given to you at your hotel room before drinking their coffee or eating their food or dealing with...
Read moreGreat little coffee shop. Tried various items and none have disappointed. The plain latte I had last time is the best I’ve had in the Birmingham area so to date. My minor complaint, the space is a bit loud for me and makes conversations difficult at times. That very well could just be me getting old though. My big complaint though is WiFi. Of the four times I’ve been, not once have I been able to login and work. I verified I was using the correct access point and putting in the correct password but I get nothing except an error and an invitation to run diagnostics. The workers explained it’s a volume of customers issue. It’s not a reason to forego patronage and I will be back. This place is doing its main job very well, making good coffee! They’re definitely losing money from me though. If I were able to access wifi to do school, I’d be spending a lot more money there! (I may have an impulse buying...
