Driving along with no civilization and the night closing in on me, I started searching “food near me” and here we are MONDAY and nothing is open. I start to panic I might have to eat from a gas station or vending machine. I suddenly spy the oasis of Black Mountain Pepperoni’s Gourmet Pizza. I am judging and saying, “oh great, the cliche strip mall…” will it be a hidden gem? Well, yes, my people! It is a new staple in my mountain list of mom and pop stops. Thin crust was not good, but the hand tossed made in house crust was too die for. I chose the Great White which had Alfredo sauce and I added garlic Parmesan. Then it had mozzarella and basil. I added kalamata. I’m extra and I made the most bomb-azzz pizza ever. True delight. They had so many other good things I wanted to try like dessert pizza, calzones and salads. Vegetarian items clearly marked and it was easy to create a veg meal. They have gluten free crust and tons of cool art on the walls. I will always remember this pizza and love that they were so friendly. Don’t miss the homemade ranch. Crust totally 10/10.

Very disappointed, a chicken parmesan is not frozen chicken fingers with cheese and marinara this would be a fast food chain approach.... so since this establishment does not know I will explain, chicken parmesan is a whole piece of chicken breast pounded out thinly dipped in the egg wash and breaded in italian style breadcrumbs fried then add fresh buffalo mozzarella and a good homemade marinera bake in the oven on some nice fresh french bread until the top gets to golden brown... the shit I was served yesterday is something you'd expect from burger king not happy for 13.99... Response to owner then wow imagine how bad your chicken parm must be to think patty is chicken fingers, guess when you choose frozen cisco products you can't tell the difference i mean, it's not like you're a restaurant where you actually make things 😂 and if thats what u call a fresh traditional chicken parm i'm just pointing out.... the product you're producing and serving it's like frozen food and your welcome, be happy to school you any day 😃

Delicious food and super friendly service. We ordered about 40 minutes before closing so I asked over the phone if it was too late to place an order. The employee said not at all and proceeded to take my order. She was very cordial and pleasant. The food tasted great and prices are quite reasonable. I went with a calzone with 3 extra toppings. They loaded it down! We also ordered a pepperoni pizza and fried pickles. 2 thumbs up all around.

Let me start out by saying the young girl at the front tonight is a sweetheart. And I hope every dime of my $47.00 check goes to her. As for the others, well, I don't have much to say, other than I have never experienced such a rude staff, particulary the older woman with shoulder length hair that was barking orders tonight, Tuesday, Feb 27th. I'm assuming the manager or the owner (which I highly hope that's not the case with her piss poor customer service skills)I was recommended by a coworker who ate there for lunch. She noticed that they had gluten free options, me being highly allergic to gluten I was pretty excited. Good gluten free pizza is nearly impossible to come by.I walked in and started to ask about the wings. The young girl asked the older lady she was working with if the wings were gluten free. Her answer was "they aren't breaded". Anyone that knows about gluten, or has gluten free options available should be more knowledgeable about what makes a food gluten free. That includes the food itself, but also preparation. After being disappointed with her manner of answering, and lack of understanding, I proceeded to order anyways, I then asked about the sauces. She said she would have to look at every ingredient for each sauce to be able to tell me if it contained gluten, feeling like an inconvience at this time. I then asked her about the garlic parm sauce. She yelled that she couldn't hear me. Here's a hint, TURN DOWN THE AWFUL ROCK MUSIC AND MAYBE YOUR CUSTOMERS WONT HAVE TO YELL. She walked to the back with an attitude and told me that it didn't contain wheat. Again, being so unsure I didn't order the wings and decided to order a salad. I inquired about the dressing to the sweet young lady at the front who went back to check, and said it was okay. After I ordered that, I ordered a pizza, cheezy bread and a dessert pizza for my "able to eat gluten just fine" family and friends that I was picking food up for.On the menu, there is an option for regular desert pizza, and gluten free desert pizza. So I ordered one of both. Everything was fine, and I paid. My bill was about $37.00 and I left a $10.00 tip for the young lady for A-being so kind despite her co-workers attitude, and B- she deserved it for having to work with her. As I am sitting on the bench, waiting for my food. I hear the lady in the back say "this defiantly isn't gluten free" and I peek over the counter to see her toss one of the boxes on the stainless steel rack, again, with an attitude. I stood up and told the young girl that I knew that was the case, some people in my house can eat gluten, but I can't. At this point, I was extremely aggravated and just wanted my food so I could leave. As I continue to sit there, the lady comes up and says that the dessert pizza that I ordered, isn't gluten free. I told her to just make it however she could and that would be fine. As she walked away I heard her talk to the cook saying "none of these are gluten free", this isn't going to be good, again, with the attitude (shocker, right?). …..my question to you is WHY HAVE IT AS AN OPTION THEN? It clearly states GLUTEN FREE DESSERT PIZZA. I have never written a review for a company. I also have never been treated so poorly, by a company. If you don't want to deal with people who have allergies, then don't offer gluten free on your menus. It takes actual knowledge to be able to serve gluten free safely. It may be a "fad" for some. But it's a health concern for me. I get physically ill when I consume gluten. I wasn't trying to make your night difficult, or be a pain. Hell, I even left a $10.00 tip because I know how it can be. But now, that I sit here and think over my whole experience, I would have rather lit fire to my $47.00 dollars and watched it burn than to give it to...

All i have heard for years is how good Pepperonis is. Gotta say though, after trying it, I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with no onions. The guy who took my order was like "oh, then why dont you do a house salad and add chicken?" Seemed like it would be the same thing so I agreed. Yeah except when you get a house salad and add chicken there is a $3+ upcharge!!!! I could have honestly overlooked that, but then when I got the salad it was wilted and room temperature. They did not include any salad dressing. I also asked if i could get the toasted ravioli (included in their online menu) and they told me they no longer offer it but have mozzarella sticks instead. So i order them. For $7 I got 4 1/2 pieces of mozarella sticks that are absolutely a frozen product and also served lukewarm. I ordered it takeout so didn't feel Icouldn't go back with it, plus it was getting late and I just wanted to go home. But seriously I spent like $25 (including tip) on a dinner that was basically inedible. Not sure I'd go back. Now I do understand they have been closed for a month due to a fire, so I gave them a 2 star instead of just 1 as a benefit of the doubt since this was their 1st week open again. But if this is the quality of food they put out on the regular I just dont understand what all the...

March 3, 2017 -

Normally the service is amazing and top-notch! Would give 5 stars any other time.

However, tonight was a HUGE failure in customer service. My brother decided to treat my mom and me for dinner, yes, we know on Friday evening/nights they can be busy, that's understandable.

The order was messed up twice on the first phone call, accidents can happen I know.

80 minutes later, no sign of our delivery, second phone call essentially "it'll get there eventually." Before he was rudely hung up on.

20 minutes after that - 100 MINUTES AFTER ORIGINAL PHONE CALL PLACED, "it's out for delivery." Hung up on again.

Fourth call a few minutes after that, the woman (who claimed to be the manager but never gave her name) said she had CANCELLED the order.

This woman lied saying that we said to cancel, then came clean and said she had decided to cancel our order. So nearly 9 in the evening, over two hours, later no pizza.

I'll stick with going to Fresh or hell, even Pizza Hut as long as this woman works there. She was rude, lied, tried to evade our questions. Horrible.

Hope the owner finds better people...
