such a cute bakery tucked under a lovely Airbnb that we stayed for the night. got a cappuccino and tea, then a canele and toast with honey and I believe it was mascarpone (I canāt quite remember but it was a very fresh cheese just a bit too much for me so I only ate about half the cheese on the toast). I would say the coffee isnāt the speciality here, itās the baked goods and the bread. I would come back and spend some time here for sure. itās so quaint, and I ate the pastries a few hours later and could still taste the freshness.
to respond to the owner - because it seems like you can't easily reply to a comment on here - my litmus test for coffee shops is often to ask for a cappucino, becuase cappucinos can only be made in one size - equal parts of espresso, steamed and milk froth - so when a coffee shop asks me "small or large" when ordering this, I sort of know their coffee knowledge may be a bit limited. I understand that you all are a bakery not a coffee shop, so it may not be meaningful to invest in that way. however, my rating is reflective of what you all call yourselves, a bakery, so having subpar coffee is not something that would make me not come back. I would just maybe opt for tea instead. I would say if you care to invest more time in coffee, maybe spend a bit more time understanding the sourcing of your coffee, and the methods to make different kinds, because all coffee is not created equally. there sre lots of online companies and platforms to gain more insight here if you don't already - Sey Coffee and Black and White Coffee are some good starting points. Being able to know where a coffee bean originates from is also important to coffee consumers. again, this is not to sound pretentious or belittling, but I didn't know much about coffee until a while ago and it truly is it's own world. a few tips can go a long way, and it had made me respect and understand...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIts been years since i have stopped in here. Today I got a iced coffee and a few bakery items. The lemon curd muffin is pretty delicious though i was under the impression it had a cream cheese filling and it does not but its still tasty. The large coffee is the size a large should be but to most it will be considered a small. In the past i ordered hot coffees and got scalded milk so i played it safe and went with a iced mocha today and it payed off because it was perfect. Perfect size and taste. The staff was very friendly and didnt panic even when it got busy, though they could have used a few extra people. The only reason i did not do five stars is because of past experiences and because they were out of the croissant i wanted. I will be going there again sometime next week and as long as everything continues as it did today i will do five stars...
