From the moment you walk in you feel at home in this cozy cafe. You can tell this is a family owned and operated establishment that prides itself on great quality food, warm inviting atmosphere and excellent service. We stopped for the sign that said “best green chile” and stayed for the Bloody Mary and biscuit and gravy too. Gabriel’s breakfast burrito (get all three meats and smother it) wasn’t just huge, it was packed full of flavor and the green chile was exactly what we’d been looking for! We will definitely be adding this to our “must stop” list for our next trip back to Colorado!!!

We just finished hiking Blanca Peak and we're looking for the nearest place with good hamburgers. We found it here! I ordered the Hook Up burger. Everything was fresh, bacon was "real" and the fries and onion rings were hot and fresh. They had a lot of other options on the menu. Great place to stop for friendly service and great food!

Decent place to get a meal. Everything came out hot, including the chips with the salsa. 🤤 my burger within a tortilla and refried beans was good. I think my favorite was a piece of pie that was heated up with some soft serve. Wish they allowed refills on my tea/lemonade but the one glass I did have was tasty.

We stopped by Lu’s for dinner and were instantly blown away. It’s a family-owned and operated gem, and you can feel that warmth the moment you walk in. Our server Sonrisa (the owner’s daughter) was wonderful — welcoming, attentive, and fun to talk to. Her wife Nikki was in the kitchen working magic on the grill!

We had the Patty Melt and the Mushroom Swiss Burger — both were phenomenal. So good, we came back the next morning for breakfast.

That time, Gabriel (the owner’s son) was our server, and he was just as awesome — great energy and sense of humor. We ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla with chorizo and veggies and the Sausage Omelette with hash browns and green chili. Both were massive portions — I made three full meals out of that quesadilla.

This place has amazing food, a truly welcoming vibe, and a family that clearly pours love into every plate. If you’re anywhere near Blanca, Lu’s is 100%...

The waitress ordered my drinks and then took my order. Short time passed and the cook came out and addressed the large group that got there before me that the pancake mix needed to be mixed. So I knew that I was going to wait a while. Never addressed me. Their food started to came out. then something else happened and the cook again came out and address another consumer on the other side of the building. Reported that the flat top stopped working. Mean while, both my drinks were empty, but refills the other consumer who is across the restaurant and had to grab the coffee; which I’m sitting right next to. Not to mention that the waitress never checked on me. So I paid for the...

Paid way too much for some seriously garbage food, that was not prepared the way I ordered. Didn't want to keep waiting while they corrected their mistake and old crusty trucker dudes sat themselves right next to me.... It was the fault of the cook failing to read directions. Waitress was kind. Not sure why box potato shreds are used in here when real potatoes are plentiful in the region. Just... garbage food at a high price, won't be back. Not sure what the "smother" sauce was even made of, didn't want it, but my burrito for the road was swimming in it. Never again. Close to $20 for...
