Speak Easy Grill & Meat Market — Restaurant in Blanco

Love, Love, Love this place! Stopped here our first night in Blanco on our girls trip and boy are we glad we did! We ate here every day. New favorite place in Blanco, the husband & wife team of Travis and Cherry combine their many years of Restaurant experience to bring you some of the most unique and tasty dishes. it is located right outside of Andalusia whiskey, you can get your food and a drink and eat eat inside or outside. The small appearance of the building is packed with some pretty big flavors. The outside is decorated so cool with some of Cherry’s own creations of chandeliers. Their menu is posted outside & you place your order at the window and are given a pager when your order is ready. Travis and Cherry even came around to our tables checking on their patrons and making sure everything was to your liking. There is nothing you need to add to any of their dishes, except for a napkin, lots of napkins. On our first day, we had the WHISKEY PIG SANDWICH-striker whiskey barbecue pulled pork sandwich and a grilled brioche topped with yellow onion and crisp deli pickles. Enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for the FLAPPER FISH TACOS -blackened grilled tilapia with zesty Caribbean slaw, chipotle mayo, Texas rum pickled red onion, spring onions, and cilantro. We then got the ENCHANTED MUSHROOM QUESADILLAS which has a variety of gourmet mushrooms, mozzarella, roasted red pepper, sautéed onions and spring onions to take back to our room for a late night snack. We planned it just right we were there on the weekend They had brunch, so we returned the next morning. Absolutely loved homemade BUTTERMILK BISCUITS Topped with ROASTED PABLANO SAUSAGE GRAVY, and topped with a fried yard egg and spring onion. We also shared the HANGOVER SALAD with fresh arugula, spinach, crumbled bacon, slivered radish, red onion with a shallot mustard, bacon vinaigrette topped with a poached yard egg. Perfect brunch outside listening to Live music. Definitely will be planning another trip to Blanco just for this place! Blanco has a secret, and I’m going to spill the beans…. Apparently they have a hidden gem, called the Speak Easy Grill & Meat Market!

As a foodie, I really enjoy finding amazing food spots and I’m always looking for The Perfect Bite… well… let me tell you, this place delivered a perfect bite in Every bite.

Not only is the Burger a very good size, but I asked that my burger be mostly medium with a little rare - I got exactly that, and my husband’s was a full medium exactly what he asked for. The food was Fresh! Not only did the owners, Travis and Cherry Graham, tell us the food is locally sourced… but you can Taste the freshness and buy the local meat there as well. They Blew Austin’s burger joints out of the water.

We also had the pulled pork tacos, which melted in my mouth, no tough spots and full of flavors. Probably one of the best tacos I’ve had.

We were there for about an 1.5 hours enjoying the country air and delicious food, the entire time people were driving in to sit or pick up food for dinner. Obviously, they are the local favorite. We’ll definitely be back!!

You. Gotta. Go! We go to Andalusia every time we come to Blanco and it used to have a variety of food trucks come by. Well, I'm glad they are gone and speak easy is here to stay! It's the first time we've had them and it was incredible. We ordered the burger and fish tacos (around $15 each). The beef was fresh, tender and perfectly cooked. Topped with crisp vegetables, juicy heirloom tomatoes and flavorful bacon it was exactly what you want in a burger with a Stryker old fashioned. The fish tacos are hands down the best in central Texas (at a minimum). The ratio of tortilla to fish to cabbage to pickled vegetable to the sauce was spot on! Every bite you get that wonderful crunch with a Floridan style fish that hits the spot. We didn't know what to expect from Speak Easy but we were floored! Now we can say that when we visit Andalusia when we come to Blanco we are definitely getting Speak...
