Well, I had to see what all the excitement was about, so I decided to pay Woo Woo a visit as recommended by coworkers on 2/9/2024 for the first time. Let me start by saying that I purchased 2 large tip/link combos and a full slab and the links were on point, but my order of tips were mostly pieces of bone and barely had any meat on them. As of now, the full slab is in the fridge and will be eaten later. I have to say that after reading the reviews prior to my visit, I knew to call in my order ahead of time so that I wouldn't have to wait long. After working all day, the last thing I want to do is wait for an order of food. I ordered at 5pm while at work, and when I left work at 6pm and got there at 6:15pm, .I still had to wait and left the establishment at 6:30pm. I feel like getting my order 1.5 hours after placing it is unacceptable. The combo meals were lacking with 🍟 and after spending $77, I expected better. My first visit didn't live up to my expectations & I'm undecided about any future visits. That's it... that's all!

Truly the best BBQ I've had in a very long time. They brought life to the Southeast Suburbs. I've been a long time customer of WooWoo's for years. I was heartbroken when they were no longer in Lynwood. It's great to see them back and in full form. If you're lookin for A1 BBQ, friendly and family oriented customer service, then WooWoo's BBQ is the best place to go if you are in the south suburban area. I don't know who took those pics on Google but here are the real pics I have of some of the really good food that they make with pure love. Thank you guys and I will definitely be coming back.

I have been following Woo Woos since Dolton... Lynnwood.. Burnham ...Calumet City and now out here in Sauk village completely disappointed the barbecue doesn't even taste like it's been in a smoker on a pit it just tastes like they baked them and threw the sauce on it... the sauce is good but I don't taste any type of barbecue flavor in the meat at all..... Dang disappointed ☹️

Woo Woo's BBQ presents a frustrating experience, especially for DoorDash customers. In simple terms, it sucks.

The delivery timeline seems to be on a leisurely stroll, testing the limits of your hunger. The staff's attitude mirrors the sluggish pace, offering little in the way of customer satisfaction. Chronic understaffing only exacerbates the issue, turning a simple meal into a waiting game. Last week I had 3 drivers show up at Woo Woo’s, text me they were waiting and 10 minutes later abandon my order. THREE DRIVERS GOT TIRED OF WAITING!! I think part of it is that they only have two chairs for people waiting.

Despite the operational hiccups, there's a silver lining in the form of the restaurant's commitment to authentic barbecue. Piles of wood on display hint at a genuine smoking process that elevates the meat. It's a shame, however, that this dedication doesn't extend to portion sizes, particularly when it comes to the rib tips. Expect stingy servings that leave your taste buds wanting more, but not in a good way. Woo Woo's has the potential for greatness, but it seems they need to stoke the fires of efficiency and generosity to truly satisfy their patrons. And maybe some staffing changes with people who care about service. The young lady I met a couple of times should not deal with the public in any capacity.

Next time I want barbecue I will drive a little further to Big Daddy’s in Schererville. The staff is fantastic and super helpful. And their portions won’t leave you hungry. Plus Steve Harvey endorses them and I doubt he knows Woo Woo’s even exists.

And I will pickup my food myself from Big Daddy’s. Paying twice menu prices for hot garbage like Woo...

So I called to place my order I usually get the bucket of tips but this time I asked which is better bucket vs 2 large tip as far as quantity. They stated I would get more with the 2 large tips so I ordered the 2 tips, they said it would be 45 mins. I get to the restaurant and have to wait a hour and a half to get my order, only for my order to be made incorrectly. Had to wait another 10 mins for my order to be fixed. Even another customer noticed that I was in there a long time. They placed they order when I was coming to pick up my order, they left went for a drive somewhere far away and came back only for me to still be there. They Food ended up being ready at the same time but they left before me because of my order having to be fixed. They said themselves, she's been here a long time and its crazy she still here, which was true especially when I called in my order. I get home and Lord have mercy if it didn't look like I ordered a small tip with a large fry instead of a large tip. It was only about 8-9 tips in each box and the rest was fries. There is no way that the 2 large tips I received was more in quantity then the bucket I usually get. Fries with the tips was so greasy and it was not that much sauce on the BBQ. $35.97 & 2 hours later I lost my appetite and I'm very disappointed. I'm debating how I feel about going back. Charles and the other employee kept apologizing for the wait but so much was done with this order just an apology can't fix it and a review was necessary to make sure they start doing better and not just apologizing. There is no way. I'm Beyond disappointed and if I go back I'm going to need better...

(2025 UPDATE) My wife ordered this past weekend (because I refuse to be lied to) and they did the same thing to her as did to me when I wrote my original review. When asked why the long wait time, The girl at the counter told my wife that the cook does not start making the order until the customer actually walks in. So to me that tells me you deliberately lie to get business. Then the girl was talking over my wife as if to say my wife had nothing important to say. What if I was on my way somewhere and based my schedule off what you told me? Needless to say, I can either go to Chicago Pit Stop in Chicago Heights, or Uncle John's in Homewood. They lost two loyal customers and we will encourage our friends and family to not patronize as well.

ORIGINAL POST - I would have given them five stars. Food is fantastic!!!!, customer service depends on who is at the register, wait time is HOORRRIIIIBBBBBLLLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!!! They will give you a wait time and then the actual wait is much longer than promised. They make you pay up front so you then have no choice but to wait. My time is precious and I do not like feeling like I've been lied to just to get my money. Get that wait time issue together, and make your good customer service consistent, and you'll have five...
