4/25: Have eaten in at least a dozen different Chinese restaurants all over the US since last review and find I must raise the rating for Panda Garden. This place is better than all the others I have tried since the last review. Consistently tasty, well prepared food, friendly and attentive service. Order the Dinner Egg Rolls instead of the ones that usually are included with lunch. The Dinner rolls appear to be made fresh - filling does not appear to be frozen mush but actually has crisp, recognizable ingredients. The Lunch rolls appear to be frozen food service egg rolls. 3/3/23: Continues to improve. Today we eat from the Lunch menu where all of the meals are still under $10. Excellent Pork Szechuan skillfully seasoned with a good mix of Chinese vegetables and Squash. Sweet and Sour Chicken was good as well. Egg rolls still have that been in the freezer mushiness
3/15/22: Glad to be able to give a better review to this long time favorite. Back to their usual high standard as far a cleanliness is concerned. Tasty and generous portions of Kung Bao and General Tso chicken. Egg rolls still leave a lot to be desired. Service a little slow in the dining room during lunch rush.
9/28/21: No stars at all for these guys today.
Been traveling to Bloomfield for a while but this time we decided to try Panda Garden because I was craving Chinese food. Unsure what the building was before but it's pretty big inside. We were greeted and sat down right away. Waiter was attentive and we got our drinks out fast. Asked the waiter for some suggestions, as their selection of food is quite large. We were here during lunch time, we were surprised there weren't more people dining. We decided on the orange chicken and the sliced beef with hot & spicy sauce. Both came with choice of Wonton, sweet & sour or egg drop soup. We chose the egg drop soup. Soup came out first with crispy noodles. They have really good egg drop soup. Then our meals came out in trays. This was a different way to see food served at a restaurant but in actuality I really like it because all my sauce was contained to the appropriate dish and my rice didn't absorb any. The food was very good. I'm just sorry I had not eaten here sooner. Now that we found this place, we definately will be back. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I also liked that the restaurant was very clean, and the prices were extremely reasonable. If you read my review, please hit the like...
Read moreFood was good, not great. Wontons were good but hard as fortune cookies when they cooled. Pot stickers were good. Mongolian Deluxe was a good dish, not spicy. Kids meal is large and can feed two. My wife and I shared the Mongolian Deluxe. Family got the orange chicken and salt and pepper shrimp. They were also good, not great.
Soda was flat and the waiter looked and acted annoyed when we mentioned it. Maybe it's just him but that killed the mood for the entire stay for him. Eventually a better English speaking lady came over and switched me out for an Arnold Palmer. He definitely kept fumbling our requests. Brought wrong rice, no cover for rice, unprofessional attitude, didn't fix the soda, and had to ask for extra ice multiple times...
Interior....Place seems okay. Wrong style for a Chinese restaurant. Looks like it was a steak restaurant before. Bathrooms are outdated and not very clean.
For this area (and Farmington), it is better than other Chinese choices I've tried. 3.5 to 4...
