Pizza was just ok, but not great. We have been to this location twice and itās been subpar. People running it are nice but when I walk in to get my pizza, woman is on the phone and I have to wait while the older gentleman worker, I think an ownr is sitting at the table starring at his phone, itās a bit irritating. How about donāt take your break in the front and if you do, get your ass up and help out while the lady is taking an order on the phone OR take your break in the backā¦. These are basic rules everyone should know and understand. All the food here is minimal from the amount of toppings they put on a 14ā pizza to the amount you get in a side salad or Caesar for the price left us disappointed. The first time we got an Italian beef and gardinara. There wasnāt much gardinara anywhere on the pizza and the beef was like thin sliced and laid out like they were making a sandwich, just a sad pizza. The second time was a sausage/mushroom and it was much better. Prices are out of control when they want $3 more for extra topping which would basically bring these pizzas to where they should be to start. No thank you, keep your $3 and Iāll go elsewhere. I mean for $6 for a very, very small side salad that was basically rabbit food, so we chopped up more veggies we had in the refrigerator and it was better. I could have gone to Aldi and gotten the same thing for a $2⦠and Aldi is making money on that $2 too... The Caesar salad had powdered parmesan cheeseā¦.. really??? Powdered parm. Wow, I was disappointed, considering thatās not even real parm. Oh we order fried mushrooms, the first time, something my gf loves and they were under cooked, they were barley edible and we could really finish them. I understand costs are high for everyone and have to control costs but in the food biz, you HAVE to exceed expectations to keep people coming back, thatās it. So maybe you have to take a little bit of an haircut on your margin BUT when I keep coming back to your location because your the best Rosatiās around, now your bankrolling. Cutting corners in a competitive market like Chicago, is not going to get you anywhere. After being away for 20yrs Rosatiās just isnāt what it use to be. There isnāt any consistency at any location, some are better than others and this one wasnāt the worst but not the best. Their franchisee biz model ruins the brand. The app also isnāt great and need to retool it. They should find out who developed the Dominos pizza tracker so you know when your pizza is done or when and who is delivering your pie. Hot and fresh is how anyone likes their pizza. So many better options in the Chicago area and definitely for the price. I think that my 3-star...

First it took us repeating our order about 10 times on the phone for them to understand wanted simply 2 cheese pizzas. Then when we got there, they thought we had paid when we had not. We are good, honest people so we said "no, we haven't paid yet." and were ready to pay. This is when it got interesting.
We had a coupon for my wifes birthday from them for a free cheese pizza. Great! Until we tried to use the coupon - the owner himself said we couldn't use the coupon unless it was on the day of her birthday (despite her getting the coupon and it having an expiration date a few weeks after her birthday). He fought with her for a good 10 minutes over her inability to use the coupon. We had to explain to the owner of the business that we could have simply agreed with the girl at the counter who thought we had paid, but we didn't because we're good honest people - it was only then that even after more back and forth he decided to allow us to use the birthday coupon. He also said "Well, it will be another 15 minutes! You'll have to wait." So two cheese pizzas took almost 1 hour to make here - unacceptable.
In the meantime, the people in the back (including the owner) were throwing food around, tossing it up and catching it in their mouths and such. It was absolutely a health risk and unacceptable as well.

Ā Ā Ā Read more8/29/2015 Order #161 Today I placed an order that included a Panzarotti with Sausage and Spinach .The one I had a like two weeks ago had a beautiful bread like crust with a lawyer of sauce cheese sausage and spinach that were all layered and stuffed and cooked to perfection. Todays was nothing like that. The crust so thin like a finger nail except where it was rolled around the edges. I am amazed it came out of the fryer in one piece cause it flopped just trying to remove from the box. It was a soggey mess of cheese... little spinach and watery sauce with a paper thing crust that absorbed all it could. Had I gotten this the first time I would have never re ordered. I don't complain usually and write it off... but todays food quality deserved a complaint. I asked if there was a manager on duty and was told yes. However the phone girl returned on to ask of my problem . Had to repeat my name and order a few times and then she disconnected. I'm not looking for free food but some consideration and customer satisfaction would of been nice. I waited long enough for a return call after all I repeated my name and number multiple times and nothing. I think no direct response from the manager pretty much explains how much they care ... so reguardless of the rest of the order being ok ... for your lack of concern on customer satisfaction I think I'll take my...
