We wanted a catering order of 30lbs or pulled pork, buns, and warmers for our wedding. They asked for a $400 deposit, telling us the total would be $800 for all of it. Once we have them the 400, we paid a little more towards it as time went on because they said we could, but then they started changing the deal by saying buns were not included and we needed to pay an extra $100. Then it was the warmers, another $150, and finally the total came out to $1200 after all the fees and once they had our money.
We asked for a refund 2 weeks before the wedding and offered to pay for the pork and they could keep the deposit as it was already paid, and waited the other $500 we had put down over the past few months. They laughed at me over the phone and said it was all non-refundable and I asked where that was or a contract with my name on it. She called her manager to talk to us and he also laughed at us and said “too bad”.
So we have to pay them another $100 or they won’t show up at all, and when they finally show up at the wedding 1 HOUR LATE they bring in these beat up Walmart warmers with some stained napkins to set them on along with what looked like days old pulled pork.
We ended up throwing most of it away because no one wanted to eat stale pork, and I plan on sharing this with as many places as possible. You guys are...
Read moreNot sure where these great reviews are coming from. Thanks a lot! I made a special trip to this place based on such and not worth it. $16 which I find to be a little on the high side. The brisket was fair at best. It was shaved, not what I was expecting, and no flavor and a lot of fat. When I go for BBQ I also look forward to the sides which are typically very good. The green beans tasted like they were out of a can and the mac & cheese, one of my favorites, was luke warm and not special at all. Disappointment as these are my 2 favorites. Guy was nice so I hate to write a bad review but people need to know. Oh and don't try to find the menu on the web. Takes you to some strange site that probably gives...
Read moreI am really surprised at the 4 and 5 star reviews. The food here is horrible, and expensive for what it is. We watched them take the beans out of a big open generic can and microwave them. Then charged me $6. The fries came out of a chaffing dish, they were soggy, mealy and stale. The ovens are off, the kitchen is mostly just warmers, and this is at lunch time. No ketchup, no napkins, the food area is dirty and sticky, and the meat was old and processed tasting. We spent almost $30 for lunch and the whole experience was really bad. Sorry BBQ Train, your website looks good, but you dont have food to match. I am...
