The perfect night for a large party! I recently hosted a work event for a large group of over 12 customers at Gill Street, and it was an absolute home run. I can't say enough about the experience, from the flawless planning to the fantastic food and drinks. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helped make our gathering a huge success. From the start, the team at Gill Street made the planning process easy and stress-free by helping us secure a large table. When we arrived, our space was ready and perfectly set up. Even with our big, boisterous group, the staff was always attentive and friendly, making sure everyone's drinks and food orders were handled without a hitch. The atmosphere is lively and fun, without being so loud that you can't have a conversation. My customers loved the variety of entertainment options, especially the sight of sand volleyball games happening on the patio. It added a great, energetic backdrop to our dinner. The food was another huge highlight. With over a dozen people, we ordered a wide range of menu items, and everything was delicious. The classic bar food was a definite crowd-pleaser, but the quality was far above what you'd expect. We had some of the best wings and burgers, and the draft beer selection was also excellent. The kitchen was super efficient in getting all our food out in a timely manner. If you're looking to host a corporate gathering, a large group of friends, or just want a guaranteed fun night out with good food and drinks, Gill Street is the place. Our meal, for three of us took almost an hour and forty minutes and consisted of three different servers. It was very clear that all of them wanted to be working out back versus in the dining room. Everyones meal and our desserts were obviously ready much sooner, but then left under heating lamps for quite a while. Part of the meal was served burnt to a crisp and was totally inedible. However, was not realized by server until it was pointed out. Then she acted as if she was totally shocked and agreed that she would not be able to consider eating it either, if it was served to her. So, for simple bar food, on a rather slow evening to take this long to get through our meal is very poor service and experience. This was a nice, clean restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. Being a bar as it is, it was inevitably quite loud with the TV and the drinking patrons singing off key at full lung capacity; not a place to go with a headache. Their food was good quality, but the portions weren't at all comparable to the price they were charging. The loaded nachos weren't loaded with anything.
