J & A Bakery & Donuts — Restaurant in Bloomington

I heard about this bakery from my daughter. She loves there scones!! I decided to buy some for my bosses party!! I went in and bought all they had about 10 scones. The woman placed them in a box for me so that they wouldn’t get smashed. As l grabbed the box. The bottom of the box fell out and there they all went to the ground. I had just payed almost $20 dollars for them. You can imagine my disappointment!! Well to bad was the message l received from the woman on the other side of the counter.! So since the party was going to be early the next day l ask if it was possible to pick some up the next morning at 9:00 a.m. She must of seen the disappointment on my face that she said yes l could purchase some more and pick them up the next morning. I was at the same time saddened and glad. But having to purchase them twice wasn’t cool and...

Needed a cake this place looks good the lady said it will take up to a week but honestly we are not taking orders at the moment “ I was like ok” they did had some on display. We ended up taking some bread home.

The Lady: Wasn’t very welcoming, she wouldn’t accept my $20 bill because a small corner piece was missing if that was my only bill she would’ve lost out in some business

Bread: 9 pieces for $18 and change so far the pieces I tried are good but honestly these are double the price than anywhere else but so far the -Cuernito: with pink was good -Cheese: is the one with orange with is cheese and it has cream cheese inside it’s salty and sweet kind taste like pan dulce it’s good I have two alike in the picture. -Pandese: is the one that looks like an egg that’s like a cheese danish

I recommend coming here I ordered a cake for my 15 and although there was only 1 person making the bread and cake at the time they still pulled through and made me a beautiful and delicious cake.
