I will say for a Friday afternoon they were busy we attended for the first time after a Pride event at Miller Park and thought it was close why not. We were given the impression that there was one server and like I said it was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon so service was a little slow due to that. The server herself was incredibly nice and def did her best to make sure we were taken care of but we left feeling sorry for the amount of stress she must have been under and felt. Anywho for the food. The cheese in a general sense both on the fries or with the pretzels are not recommended my kids were not happy about it at all. The chicken was crunchy as well cooked but a tad over seasoned but for me I had ranch so it made it fine for me. My oldest not so much. My middle son seemed to enjoy his wrap though as he took half of it home. According to them both the chicken had more seasoning than the fries did and the fries with the cheese sauce that they didn't really touch also had more seasoning as well. The meal itself ended up being on the more pricier side ending up about 60.00 for the 3 of us and that was 3 entrees, 2 appetizers and 3 drinks. So just depends on what your looking for to me that's like a dinner price as opposed to lunch pricing so idk. Overall the experience wasn't bad but I'm not sure if it would be a place we would revisit in the future.

Food is excellent but is off-set by high prices and poor service. We seem to always get the newest server who doesn't know the drink or food specials, doesn't check after serving, and doesn't get drinks or checks to us in a timely manner. I finally found a hard seltzer brand and flavor they had but didn't ask/check the price. $7.73 for a 12 ounce seltzer?!! This isn't Chicago or the 'burbs! The bartender acknowledged that seltzers were expensive. (I wondered what a margarita or mixed drink would cost then!) I wouldn't have ordered the High Noon had I known what they charged. The pizza (thin, crispy crust and good sauce) was good but $15.45 for a plain cheese, small 12" pizza?! Add an additional $3+ per ingredient for A 12 INCH PIZZA!!!!!??? You decide and weigh the pros & cons. Go there for the food but also bring w/ plenty of $$ and lots of time.

Parkview Inn is located on historic Route 66 and has been in operation since 1925. Parkview Inn is the oldest restaurant in Bloomington, Illinois. Who doesn’t love traveling on the Mother Road especially when you can stop at to eat at restaurants along the route. Parkview Inn is located near Miller Park and the zoo. We were seated quickly upon entering the restaurant at one of the high top tables inside the restaurant. The have an outdoor patio area but it was too hot for that. We all decided on cheeseburgers and fries. We were starving so we were able to eat pretty much everything but a few fries. We plan to come back next time we are in town. #bucketlist

If you're into rude servers, incompetentance, and subpar food...we this establishment is for you. We have visited this restraunt several times. We really wanted this to be "our place". After the remodeling, we first visited there. The food was decent. I really loved that you can change any burger into a veggie burger. We decided to try breakfast there...it was horrible. I am not sure what type of oil they are using, but it tastes unsuitable for consumption. We went back again for breakfast to see if the last time maybe was an off day, but this time we had a young server with EXTREAME rude attitude. My daughter commented to me how rude the server was. My husband and I visited there on a sat night, and it was busy. After we sat down, it started clearing out. We had a young, different, server. She did not write or type our order on anything, trying to either impress us with her verbal memory. Within 5 minutes, she asked me what I ordered. I ordered the forest burger( mushroom and swiss)...a veggie patty instead of beef. She came back asking me if I ordered a turkey or veggie patty. I told her veggie- also wanted a side salad instead of fris- which they charge extra- eventhough it is listed in the sides section and you pick a side to go with burger. My husband ordered a reg burgar with fri and cheese curds. Our order came out...my mushroom and swiss veggie burger came out with NO mushrooms and NO swiss and was Luke warm. NO salad - had fris. My husband did not get cheese curds. Server was so rude- gave us dirty looks. She said to my husband..." you had cheese curds didn't you...umm..ya...they were given to another table". " do you want me to take it off your bill or do you still want them?"...in a rude tone. I asked her isn't this supposed to be the mushroom burger? She looked at it and sais..." yaaaa I don't know why there are no mushrooms on it....just a minute." She disappears, comes back with the greasest mushrooms in a little bowl. No cheese...cold veggie pattie...i told her i had a salad...came out...wrong dressing.I tried to eat the veggie burger but I couldn't...cold and unappealing. I did not eat anything. We really have tried to give this establishment several opportunities, but we will not be returning! This place is a bar first and food is not their main focus. My advice would be to talk to your young serving staff about serving expectations. This is one reason why we will not be returning. We were not difficult patrons, but we're treated how a discruntal teen treats their parents- if I wanted plates of food thrown down infront of me and dirty looks- I'd stay home and have my teenage son serve me. Sadly this restraunt is a...

Friendly service but we ended up leaving only after ordering drinks because the employees weren’t properly wearing masks during the order to wear masks. Masks were worn but mouths and noses were not covered. Manager wasn’t wearing a mask at all. I do not recommend eating here.

EDIT: After the owner responding this to me: "Response from the owner 3 hours ago Wearing a mask is NOT the law. I would suggest exercising your own freedom of choice and stay home away from others if you are so worried about being in out in public. Go to any other business in this town and you will see the exact same situation inside of those places as you experienced here. Your review has nothing to do with our business or the service you received, it is your way to force your own ideas onto others."

I'm removing all stars that I can due to lack of friendliness and professionalism in your response to my experience. I expect places of business to treat customers with respect. I have been to numerous restaurants since this and have had great experiences. My original post was to just simply inform people who are concerned about Covid that they may not feel safe here. People have the right to read my review and make a decision for themselves. I will be giving my business to other local places in town who strive to meet the comfort levels of "the least of these" and I hope others will do the same. My goal is not to have a back and forth argument and this will be my final response. My goal was to leave a review of my personal experience. I understand that my experience may not be the...
