We went here for breakfast around 10AM on Sunday morning. The place was not very busy. There are about 12 tables in the whole place and 2 waitresses. Our waitress had just come in around 9 and seemed very out of it. She wrote down our orders and repeated them- which we had to correct a little. Then the WAIT began. It was about 10:25 when we put in our order- nothing fancy, just pancakes and their "special" French toast. It took until 11:10 for us to get our food! 45 minutes! The "farmer" came out a few times to sit with the locals and chat. The other waitress was busy trying to take care of her tables and noticed that I had not had my coffee refilled, so she did that for me. Our waitress seemed scattered and was either taking phone orders, washing dishes or trying to keep up with the continuous flow of new customers. She did not come by once to fill up our water glasses or ask if we needed more coffee. The pancakes were very large, heavy, and crispy on the edges- hard to finish- perhaps they were sitting under a lamp for half an hour? The butter packets on top were totally melted. Wait was a bit long but judging by the help wanted sign on the front window they are simply just short staffed. The prices were fair I thought for what you get but $8 for a microwaved baked potato is pretty silly. Still a nice place, though. They also have a great in house bbq sauce. And my sweet potato fries were delicious. But again microwaved potato’s at a place seemingly dedicated to fresh food is a bit...

For me, my first dine was the sausage egg sandwich. It is fantastic and the sausage is made in the restaurant. Really! Your first bite tells you it is homemade. The meat has flavor. The egg is cooked to perfection. That and a cup of decaf tea should have been the morning meal. But a smiling slice of homemade coconut cream pie called to me, and it did not disappoint. You can see it is packed with coconut.
