I was born and raised in Southern California so I know what real authentic Mexican food tastes like. I had high expectations but was quickly disappointed in their food. I ordered chimichangas and my mom ordered chili rellenos and enchiladas. Although the chimichanga looked good, the taste was not. It was also very mushy. The chili rellenos looked awful and tasted awful as well. Same with the enchilada. Definitely not a traditional chili rellenos. And why is there ground beef in a chili rellenos? It was just a big mushy mess in a plate! I digress. My husband ordered just tacos and was satisfied with his meal, particularly because the tortilla looked and tasted homemade. My horchata tasted amazing. The salsa and guacamole was good. So two stars it is. Maybe we’ll try the other location with...
Read moreMy favorite Mexican restaurant in the Tri, by far. Food is fresh, servers are friendly. The lady who I THINK is a manager or possible owner is one of the sweetest and most outgoing, stellar people I've ever met in a restaurant. She always goes out of her way to say hello to me. After seeing me in there a couple times she treated me like a dear friend. Just great people and she is fluent in English amd Spanish as well and also is sharp as a tac so she knows what she's doing and gets it done right. Every time. If you want Mexican, its worth driving to Blountville to get good service and great food in a...
