I’ve only ever ordered two things at Humblebee Café — the Reuben and the Pesto Chicken Sandwich — but they’ve both been so consistently excellent that I haven’t felt the need to branch out. Every time I go, I leave satisfied, which tells me the kitchen knows what they’re doing. If these two sandwiches are any indication, the rest of the menu is likely just as good.
The Reuben, in particular, is worth a special trip. It’s rich, balanced, and incredibly well-executed — easily one of the best I’ve had. The Pesto Chicken is lighter but still packed with flavor, built on quality ingredients that taste fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
The space itself is comfortable and calming. Natural light fills the café through big sunny windows, and the kitchen’s energy adds to the experience — you can hear the team behind the counter talking and cooking with a kind of casual positivity that’s hard to fake. It makes the whole place feel warm and personal.
The food here tastes homemade in the best possible way — not rustic or imprecise, but intentional and dialed-in. Whether or not everything is made from scratch, it certainly tastes like it.
Between the quality of the food, the consistency of the service, and the atmosphere inside the café, Humblebee has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area. Definitely stop in — and if you’re unsure what to order, the Reuben is...
Read moreBeing a local, I have supported this business since it started.....the prices have inflated exponentially and I was unaware how much when I made my last order over the phone. I picked up my food and after going back over the calculations I realized it was almost $60 for 2 sandwiches, 2 sides of fries and a soda. I told them I didn't realize how much the prices had jumped and that I wouldn't have ordered if I had known because I can't afford $30 per person for a meal. I was calm, though frustrated, and just needed to make that small complaint. I'm a decent person and I still purchased the food that I had ordered.
The cook took offense to my complaint and proceeded to chase me out of the building yelling at me about what a terrible person I am and that the cashier makes minimum wage and I can't talk to them like that. Followed me TO MY CAR to tell me the prices were high because of her sister's brain tumor and that I was banned from the establishment and she took my plate number and continued to yell at me that she was reporting me to the cops. At this point I'm in tears and yelling back at her to "Have a Nice Day" over and over again because at this point I was being followed and verbally attacked repeatedly because she didn't like my complaint about the prices.

Read moreThe Humblebee Café is one of my favorite go-to spots. I've been here more than a dozen times and there has never been a single negative experience. I always feel welcome. I am always met with a smile. And I dine here enough times that they remember my name! How awesome is that? I recently tried their blueberry grilled cheese and iced blueberry matcha and both were heavenly. So, so yummy. I have tried a lot of items on their extensive menu and so far everything is incredibly delicious. Standouts for me would probably be the grilled turkey club and the grilled chicken and pesto sandwiches. But I am curious and adventurous and their menu is inviting and inspiring that I am eagerly down to trying out every single thing. One day I'll check everything off! Always look forward to returning. Keep it up, Humblebee Café! You guys...
