Dino's serves a great thin-crust pizza. Quality ingredients and a wonderful soft crust baked perfectly. The cheese, sauce has really good flavor.
The owner, Dean, is a friendly guy who works hard and always has a smile on his face.
Dino's Pizza used to be Buffalo Nic's Pizza....nothing has changed in the pizza except for a better crust now....and of course, a new owner.
You can pick up your pizza which I always do or have it delivered or dine-in because they do have a handful of tables.
They also have wings and other appetizers which I can't comment on because I only order pizza...and get it square-cut!
It is hard to find a good, local mom & pop pizza place in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I can't stand ordering pizza from the big chains like Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, etc...All those type places are gross.
I grew up outside Chicago and there are delicious, small, local pizza places all over, but not here in Texas. That's like going to Chicago trying to find good Tex-Mex.
Dino's is in a tiny town called Blue Mound on the corner of Blue Mound/156 and Gill Street....if ya blink while driving down Blue Mound/Hwy.156, you'll miss the whole town. The town is in between Fort Worth and Saginaw and close by to North Fort Worth, Watauga and Keller.
I just picked up a 16" X-Large with Pepperoni & extra...
Read morePizza is good! I've been wanting to try it for a while! It's a hole in the I'md I've tried almost every place in DFW and I'd rate this an 7.8/10. Calzone is huge and comes with 3 toppings for like $10! We had the regular crust. The crust FLAVOR kind of reminds me of Mellow Mushroom which is a very good thing. The bottom was crispy and not mushy like some places, even after the 20 min drive home. It's a carry out only place, but you can order and pay online on the website, with a cc or Google pay which I love! They cut their thin crust into squares and I don't care for that so I didn't order it, just be aware. I paid $2 extra for Alfredo on the calzone, I thought that meant the side of dipping sauce but it was on the calzone which was cool, just FYI. I personally don't like Alfredo but the calzone was very good with bacon and olives on it. My daughter even said it was good, and she's picky! I ordered extra marinara and they sent it cold, not a huge fan of that at all, plus it was kinda sweet, I prefer spicy or tangy with lots of olive oil in marinara. Suggestion for the owner, get styrofoam cups and send the marinara hot! Pizza was also ready crazy fast, like 10 minutes faster than the time estimate, at 6pm on a Friday night, so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall I was pleased, we will...
Read moreI will start with all of the good things about Dino’s. I live two blocks from them and I always order carry out. Hand tossed, usually 3 toppings or so.
Their service is always fast, friendly, and accurate. They are reasonably priced for a delicious pie. They actually take the time to arrange your toppings to look presentable when you crack open that box. They don’t shy from extra toppings that you pay for.
My only complaint is that their dough isn’t consistent. Often times is it hardly cooked in the center and it’s like picking up a wet noodle. There’s no structure to it. I obviously don’t expect a 1 inch crust, but I’d like for it to somewhat hold it’s weight.
Once they perfect the dough/cooking, I’d go as far as saying they’re the best I’ve ever had. Nonetheless, they will continue to receive my business with the hopes that they make small...
