I am not sure how they have over a 4-star rating. The guy who took our order would be the only one who got a 5 star from me. After he took our order, that was all we saw from him sadly.
I understand there is a language barrier. I am patient and can work with people. However, when you give me dirty looks bc your kitchen messed up my order. I wanted it corrected. It's not OK. I asked for no beans, double rice. She asked if she could just bring out the extra rice my husband said that was fine. So I scooped the beans onto his plate. There was no reason for them to remake my other stuff, but beans grossed me out. No big deal. I just removed anything the beans were touching. I worked with it, and no wasted food. When she brought the extra rice out, she gave me a dirty look. I just said thank you, and my husband said it in Spanish. Ok. Whatever. They never came back to check on us. We never got refills on our drinks. I ended up having to buy a soda from their machine bc I was so thirsty still. It was ridiculous.
They never brought us a ticket for our meal so we could check out. My husband went to check out. I'm pretty sure we were overcharged. It's too late now bc the receipt they gave us was not itemized to know what we were paying for. So, I recommend checking your receipts before paying. A mistake on my husband's part. Non the less, I wouldn't recommend coming here.
As far as the food goes, the salsa has a decent flavor. A little runny. The rice was a good flavor. The beef enchiladas were good. The chicken flautas didn't have much flavor at all and were very greasy. My husband had the lingua tacos. It only came with 4 tacos. No rice or beans. He said the meat was flavorful and tender. If you eat that (I don't, but I know this much about it bc I have tried it before), you know that meat is not easy to season and make tender. If you're not careful, it can be tough and lose the...
Read moreI had a very confusing experience here. On the website listed for this business on Google Maps, they very clearly advertise the ability to order online for pick-up or delivery orders. However, at the restaurant, they insist to absolutely not use their website to order food because it’s fraudulent. I asked why they don’t have the website taken down, remove the website from their Google page, or remove the online ordering features from the website, but didn’t get a straight answer, which was odd. After finally getting my to-go order, the food was just okay — I ordered beef enchiladas, but got chicken, and the carnitas taco I got was inedible. The carnitas was dry and had strange texture, and it did not taste good. I might give this place another try based solely on reputation/reviews, but it needs to work out its...
Read moreLOVE Evita's breakfast (haven't had their lunch yet, but I will), their atmosphere (feels like eating at your Grandmothers house) and our waitress Wendy had us feeling like we were regulars and had known each other for quit sometime. Reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere, fabulous service, clean and very tasty Mexican food. The only reason I can't give them a 5 Star rating is because neither the flour or corn tortillas are homemade; but guess what? Wendy kindly agreed to allowing us to bring our own the next time we came & we did...we made a pit stop to Rosa's Cafe before eating their our 2nd time :) Evita's is definitely going to become a regular dining...
