Been here 4 times. I say four, but really it’s only been once as the second time there was no where to park, the third I left because of no service, and the fourth I walked up at 3:05pm and they close at 3:00pm on Sundays for some reason.
The one time I was able to get in, the food was excellent. I had a great hand pattied burger and fries which was fantastic.
The locals seemed to think I had two heads though, as I was stared at the entire time I was there as though to say “you don’t belong here”.
My 3rd trip was the only other time I got in. All the small-ish tables (4 or less people) were taken but one, which was dirty. I alerted the hostess/waitress that we’d wait for it to be bussed so we didn’t take a table from a larger group. As soon as it was cleaned another couple ran in and jumped into it. I decided to sit in a larger table and was promptly ignored by the waitress who went straight to their table after seeing that happen to us.

Read moreWe’ll first trip here. Came in ordered all you can eat fish fry. I don’t typically complain but…. Ask for extra crispy fries and fish; food came out and the fries were soggy and still white - weren’t even cooked all the way, and the fish had a good taste but the skin could hardly be cut for a bite, had to eat the middle and leave the skin. Had a huge homemade outstanding great tasting hush puppy…prob the size of a tennis ball; then when we ask for more the next ones came out the size of a marble, and tasted completely different and very sugary. The cornbread salad was quite dry. The slaw was good. Had placed some ketchup on an empty plate to try my fries and the waitress just came and picked it up and took it away, while I’m using it. We did mention the soggy fries to her and she just ask if we wanted more, but my husband had a second helping of them and they were exactly the same even asking again for extra crispy. We didn’t eat all we could eat we actually left most of our food there. Little...
Read moreThe waitress was very nice and gave quick curteous service. The food was decent too. Although I've had better iced tea. I ordered the special which was two chicken breast fillets and choice of two sides. I selected the fried okra and green beans. The tea was extra. Plus I ordered their, "million dollar pie." The pie was delicious but it doesn't come with the million dollars.
Overall the meal was satisfying and filling.
The special was about $8.29, the tea was a little over $2.00 and the pie was another $2.00 and change. My bill was total $15.00 plus the tip I left.
The menu was pretty broad with lots of choices and they had quite a selection of pies. One was called pineapple goo another was chocolate upside down pie. Yeah it sounds like I crossed those up but that's what the menu says. They have other selections if you want. But I do recommend the, "million...
