Kira’s Flipside Grill — Restaurant in Bluffton

We were in town for 48 hours for a wedding. We visited Luke's 4 times because it IS THAT awesome! 4 of us split Onion Rings which were the best, non-greasy, HUGE rings with the most tasty dipping sauce for an appetizer. Dinner was BBQ sandwiches & Fries for mom & dad, hubby had pizza & I had a chicken pasta dish (YUM). It was all so delicious & could tell it was scratch made. We had FABULOUS service on a busy Homecoming evening (4:30-6p we were there) & were greeting right away by a familiar face from the menu--Kira (owner) herself! How many owners can you recall being onsite, friendly & hands on?! She answered all our questions (we're from MI) & suggested beers (GREAT selection!) to our taste. Hubby & I came back Saturday for lunch--bowl of Loaded Potato soup for him, Spinach Chicken Salad w Bacon & warm Honey Mustard dressing for me. Oh. My. God. It was so fresh, so tasty. The atmosphere was friendly, cozy, very down home. We really enjoyed ourselves. We also stopped in pre-wedding for a cocktail on Sat & a scoping the town out cocktail on Fri. Everytime they were busy, friendly, helpful, and everything was downright amazing. By the way... I've been in the restaurant & bar business for close to 25 years & have worn all the hats there are to wear at some of the best places in SE MI. I'm never one to post reviews, but our experience yesterday made me feel the need to. Stopped in at around 4:30 to grab a quick bite yesterday with my girlfriend. Walked in to a beautiful and seemingly promising restaurant. We started off with their jalapeño poppers, which were great, took about 15 minutes which wasn't too bad. After that, food took at least 30 minutes to come up, which I ordered a medium rare mushroom swiss burger and my girlfriend ordered the pulled pork nachos. The burger came out and it was way too done and was cold too. Had a very hard time eating it because of how rubbery the burger was and the sheer lack of taste. The fries, however, were phenomenal. Fresh from the fryer and were very crispy. The nachos were ok at best, nothing too special or bad about them. Service was terrible. Came to our table at twice before we checked out, to take our order and drop off our appetizer. Another server dropped off our food, and she was the one to check up on our food. The restaurant itself wasn't busy either, saw at most 6 tables in at the time we went in. Once we finished our food we sat around for another 10 minutes waiting on our check. Servers were unprofessional as well. Wouldn't have been able to tell that she even worked there if someone else had taken care of us. Wow! What a difference a week made.

This was June 14, 2025. First time being at Kira's Flipside Grill. The staff were all nice. Mozzarella skewers were a good appetizer. The BBQ pulled pork with Mac and Cheese pizza was great! Plus they have an Excellent Homemade Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla ice cream for dessert!! Thanks!!

We had to sit 6 of us, including a 2 year old outside in the heat, which was difficult, however to make it worse, we got seated next to the shelves by the windows which had plants that had a ton of gnats flying around. It was hard to enjoy our food, which was really good, because we were all constantly being attacked by gnats. It was super cool inside when we first walked in. Why don't you shut the garage doors and open the 4 doors to the inside and share some of the more than enough cool air. We were really impressed with your restaurant exactly a week ago that we brought 3 more with us to show them how great this place was, only to be really let down and disappointed. Only giving 1 star because the cheese skewers and our pizzas. DO NOT...
