We were really hoping for something nice after a long day, but this place missed the mark.
We saw they had outdoor seating with a view, so we were excited to check it out. But when we got there, we found out it was fully self-service. You had to order and pay at the bar, and then you’re expected to just check back occasionally to see if your food is ready. They don’t call your name or bring it out. No one even lets you know it’s done, which was a bit of a surprise and definitely not what we were expecting.
So we decided to sit inside instead. Then they closed all the windows that overlooked the water, which killed the atmosphere even more.
That’s when the real issues started. My wife can’t have gluten, and had a few very basic but important questions about the menu. Two of the burgers listed barbecue sauce, and while a lot of barbecue sauces are gluten-free, not all of them are. So she asked if theirs was safe. The server told her it definitely wasn’t gluten-free. Okay, fine — she started looking at other options.
She decided on a salad and asked about the ranch dressing. First she was told it had gluten, then that it didn’t, then back again. Eventually, the server said it was definitely safe. So she ordered it.
A few minutes later, just to be sure, she went up to ask the bartender, who looked like she had more experience. Turns out the barbecue sauce is Sweet Baby Ray’s, which is certified gluten-free. Meanwhile, the server circled back and said the ranch dressing does actually have gluten after all.
For someone who can’t tolerate gluten, that kind of mix-up isn’t just frustrating — it’s risky. Dietary restrictions aren’t preferences. It’s not about being picky, it’s about avoiding days of discomfort or pain. The staff clearly weren’t trained to handle those questions confidently or accurately.
Then my food came. I had ordered garlic Parmesan fries. What I got had vinaigrette on them — definitely not garlic Parmesan. I was told “that’s how we do them.” I had to nearly demand they take them back. They eventually did, but it was awkward.
Most of the food, once it finally arrived and was sorted out, was decent. But the experience as a whole was disappointing. Between the self-serve setup, the misinformation, and the poorly trained staff, we left more stressed than when we walked in.

Read moreTerrible experience!!!! We ordered drinks they couldn’t accommodate and asked for something they could and I had to explain what goes in it..because she said she had to look it up…🤦🏻♀️ I heard them talking crap VERY LOUDLY (in their open concept kitchen) about how I ordered drinks they couldn’t make and apparently I looked at the ones they did make weird. Our drinks were delivered by the “higher up” who was apparently cooking for the day and also bartending she was wearing sweatpants and a dirty black shirt (not professional at all) she apparently couldn’t figure out how to put an apron on while working in the kitchen for the day or whatever she was doing that day…We ordered the flatbread pizza and a bacon burger with 2 house salads. The pizza wasn't even pizza, it was tomato paste smeared on bread with lightly sprinkled cheese on top with greasy pepperoni- garbage! My bacon burger didn’t even have bacon on it. They served the salads in some gravy boats which made them completely impossible to eat without them falling out everywhere. (They consisted of lettuce and tomato with some croutons tossed in leftover pepperoni grease.) When they finally came over to check on us about the food I told her the pizza was not good and I wasn’t going to pay for it, we ate 2 small pieces by that time, most of it was still there. So she offered to take it off the bill and took it away. She sent out her “higher up” to come and talk to us about the pizza. She proceeded to tell us that’s how they make it and no one has ever complained about it!!!!🤣🤦🏻♀️ Ridiculous. She then told us she couldn’t take it off the bill and could only give us a discount or a new pizza, we obviously declined the new pizza. My boyfriend then said if they couldn’t take it off the bill and only give us a discount to give it back, unfortunately they had already thrown it in the garbage. (Mind you, we were traveling and had to get back on the road, so we couldn’t wait around for more food to be made) In the end, they only took $2 off the pizza that we didn’t eat and tossed and took $4 off the burger for the bacon we didn’t receive on the burger. We will never come back here ever again nor will we recommend this place to anybody! I’m not sorry for not tipping, that is the reflection of the poor experience and...
