El Penjamo — Restaurant in Booneville

You know it's sad to say that we have come to this in what used to be "our GREAT country"!!! But I'm gonna just say it...You go out with your beautiful wife to grab a bite to eat, you don't have much time, so u have to get your food to go, you spend almost almost 45.00 for a few enchiladas, some queso dip and some chicken with cheesy rice ( which is way to damn much money), but that being said the food was very good! You get the food to the car, you notice u didn't get any tortillas (atleast one or two) for your chicken and rice, so you go back in and politely ask "may I get a couple tortillas" for my chicken and rice I just purchased? And you get told, "no, you don't get any tortillas with chicken and cheesy rice with vegetables!!! So I thought okay, how about this, can I get more than just one small cup (and cup is an over statement) of salsa to go with the five bags of chips I purchased from you??? And what was his reply you might ask, "No, only if you want me to charge you more dinero extra for another "small cup" of salsa??? So at this point I'm thinking, I just spent north of 45.00 on our supper here and bean dip is telling me that if I want another small cup of salsa it will be another 6.95, or I can get three tortillas for an additional 3.95...so as he is telling me this, I'm standing there with a shear look of disbelief on my old humble face thinking, " you know we really should have finished building that wall"!!! AND, Thank god I like pizza more than Mexican food, cuz this is the last time my butt is ever coming back here to give them my hard earned...

Me my family went to eat there wanted to try this out thought were going to Mexican food ha lol wasn't even playing Mexican music sound like Justin biber And I ask for a jalapeno. The girl brought me a bell pepper. Wanted to eat muneudle Said they don't serve that there. Ask for mochahita Don't serve either. Food taste like ATV dinner. The salsa Taste like pure tomato. Been to many Mexican restaurants all over and none taste like that. So far. Can't find no Mexican food out here that tastes like borderline Texas or California. Ice cream I should have just went. To Walmart and got a bowl. Should change the name to American restaurant? Chicken and rice is not Mexican. Horrible food. Hope it gets better. Need to get it more esthetic...

Wish I could give the service a thousand stars!! We walked in, and was seated immediately! The chips and salsa came out fast and so did the food!! Here is why I wanna give it a thousand stars, the waiter we had was amazing! I have baby hands 😂🤌 and dropped my fork, she immediately brought me out a new one. A family member of mine was with us and asked for extra salsa, and we got it brought out very fast! I got a small Steven Special, and was stuffed! I could hardly finish! Plus, it was delicious!
