My favorite place to get fish and chips! I had a hankering and decided it was time for my first visit of the season. I feel like I recall that they used to do half portions, which is no longer the case… so let it be known that the portions are incredibly generous! A fish dish with a side of fries will easily be enough for two adults with average/normal appetites… and as such, I wound up with leftovers. The fish is always fresh, sweet, and oh so delicious, and their shoestring fries are perfect! I recommend getting both sauces with the fish. Rhe service is always very fast. Locally sourced haddock supplied from her family, it does not get any fresher. Big slabs of lightly breaded crispy haddock piled on a kaiser roller. Shoestring style well-done fries the old school way. The dill sauce is delicious, like an upgraded version of tartar.
Top tier fish sandwich. Beauty in simplicity. Boothbay will have lost a legend the day that shack closes. I hope I am not...
