This was my first time here. My spouse eats meat. I don't. We loved the tofu wings. They were cut smaller so more crispiness than other places that have tofu wings that are usually larger triangles. 10/10 would get again. We also got the pretzels. While clearly high quality they were pretzel buns and not what I was expecting for a pretzel, which I consider to be denser and chewier. I wouldn't get these again. The pretzel sauces were good. My spouse and I each got cocktails. The peachy keen was amazing. Spouse got an old fashioned, which was also great. The bartender knows her stuff. Meal wise, spouse got the spicy chicken sandwich. He loved it. He asked for sweet potato fries, but got regular fries. The waitress noticed right away and brought out the correct side. The regular fries were very good. The sweet potato fries need slight modification, as it appears they coated them with a starch that left an aftertaste. If they leave the coating off, they'd be great. I got the tofu tacos with rice. Not bad. The tofu was cooked great but needed to be coated in a sauce. The slaw on top was a bit bland. These are all easily correctable. Service and attention were great. On the whole, I look forward to coming back. I hope for slight tweaks to the sweet potato fries, a substitute for the pretzels, and a little bit of oomph for the tacos. This place has a lot of potential. Definitely give it a go and...
Read moreWe were very disappointed in this place. Even tho this was a 40 minute drive away, we had some family with us that were vegan so we thought we would try this place.
6:30pm the restaurant was a ¼ full. We were greeted quickly and our drink and app orders were taken quickly as well. Our waters were delivered in about 10 minutes but the other drinks took about 10 minutes more minutes to arrive. Our apps came about 10 minutes after that. Our entree orders were taken at that time.
Our salads came out at about 7:30 The salds were exceptional and full of flavor. At 8:00pm our dinners still had not arrived. It was 8:11 when our entrees finally started to come out.
My wife had the salmon which she said was good but not as hot as she would have expected. I had the spiced rubbed chicken breasts with fries. The chicken breasts were DRY. when I say dry I mean they way too overdone. So much so I could only get through part of one. The fries were overcooked as well and burnt (look at the pic). The consensus around the table was the vegan entrees were just okay.
Unfortunately even though the decor looked inviting, this was just not worth the drive. The server was pleasant and nice. And bartender was good as well. The food was meeting our expectations and it came out much too slow. We...
Read moreThe food was excellent! Everything tastes fresh and homemade. We ordered grilled chicken wraps and sweet potato fries. The fries looked hand-cut. They didn't appear especially appetizing, but looks are often deceiving. Once we tasted them, they were delicious! The meal was expensive: a wrap, fries, and a water came to $20 with tip, but I thought it was worth it. I also really appreciated the side of sauce that was served with the wrap.
The only reason I took off 1 star is that they messed up our order at first. You can get the chicken sandwich as either a wrap or on regular bread. We ordered wraps, but our food was initially brought to us on regular bread. I'm not quite sure how they could mess up our order, when there was literally only 1 other table occupied in the restaurant, and they were already eating, so ours was the only order that they had to take (we were there around 4:45pm on a Sunday). The waitress seemed annoyed when I immediately pointed out that we ordered wraps (a man had taken our order and didn't write anything down), but luckily it didn't take too long for them to fix it.
All things considered, the food was wonderful, and it is a convenient location when you are visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park, so we...
