My family has been going to Aurelio’s since Joe Aurelio opened his first restaurant on Ridge Rd in Homewood. When I was a kid I remember Joe Aurelio sitting at our table and asking how our meal was. This was when they moved the restaurant to Van Drunen Ford’s body shop. I took my family out tonight to the Bourbonnais store for my mom’s birthday. The restaurant was understaffed we waited over an hour for our pizza’s. We ordered 2 fiesta pizza’s and a gluten free pizza. My wife has a gluten allergy. When the pizza’s came out we received the 2 fiesta’s and no gluten free pizza after about 5 minutes I got up walked back and asked the manager about the gluten free pizza which they looked in the computer at our order and there was no gluten free pizza on the order. Our entire table agreed my wife had put the order in. So my wife sat there and watched us all eat as she waited on her pizza which we were assured was just put in the oven and would be out in about 10 minutes after about 20-25 minutes I went back again and they were “getting ready to take the pizza out” we had been there about an hour and 25 minutes at this point. We told the manger to box the pizza up and we will take it to go at this point. The manager said the gluten free pizza was on them and that it was about a 15 dollar value. I tried to explain to the manager I would have happily paid for the pizza if my wife could have eaten with us. To which she responded again how it was a 15 dollar value. I told her if you are going to stand there and just tell me you are taking 15 dollars off our bill you aren’t understanding my point. When we got home my wife opened up to find the pizza uncut. I hope this isn’t what I should expect as a norm at the Bourbonnais Aurelio’s and if the owners happen across this I’d love to speak with them about our...
Read moreNever really had worse customer service in my life. Ordered for pickup on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered Baked mostaccoli with meat sauce. I got to my car and it wasn't baked. I came in and the girl working had me buy another one and said she would fix it. She brought it to my car. Take 3 I go in, after having paid and purchased two BAKED mostaccoli with meatsauce and receiving zero. She went and got the manager who took the pasta, tossed some cheese on and baked it after 3 attempts. Mind you, it had been well over 20 minutes at this point and 3 times of me returning to the restaurant to have to PAY to fix their mistake. No compensation, no making it right, I had to pay twice to get what I ordered and it took 3 attempts to get it. Seeing as the manager came up the 3rd time and knew I paid, you'd think at minimum he'd refund one if not both of the purchases, yet did nothing. What could have been a $30 quick easy meal turned into a $45 hour long fiasco. Very disappointed. The Bosco sticks i ordered were cold by the time I got my pasta to eat them with too. Delicious food.. terrible...
Read moreI see now why every time I go buy a really owes other than later at night on a Friday or Saturday that there are no cars in their parking lot. Although the pizza is good the service is absolutely terrible quite a few of the staff are very aloof. We had a wonderful gentleman server who was so frustrated by the end of the evening that he actually told us that he was in a belt out. He must have had 10 tables to wait on and most of them were six or more tops. A lot of our food had to be sent back and replaced or just plain cancelled because we couldn't wait for it to be replaced. Would we go bad the party of six of us know we would not. What I order pizza to take home from a really O's yes I would order pizza to take home. I think they should do more to their interior to make it more inviting because it is very Stark and it lacks imagination. I've been going to a really O's since the original Aurelio's open on the east side and this is by far a long long way from that restaurant. I realize their franchises now but I would think they would try to keep up the...
