231 Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Bowling Green

Edit: We were finished completely for 20 minutes and had to call someone iver for our check. One of the bar customers was obnoxiously loud and no one told him to chill. We were a party of 4. Self seated, which made service overall slow. The bartender seemed to be taking orders from the dining and the bar, and she claimed to also be in charge of dishes (which weren't done so we had red cups instead of glasses). With that in mind, service was better than average but y'all gotta get poor girlie some help. They forgot mayo on my cousins' burger (which looked overdone) and chicken sandwich which was explicitly asked for and brought only two small packs of mayo for them. They also forgot my aunt's order of Cajun fries. My BBQ pork sandwich was good. Wish my sauce actually came on the side and not on it but truly no complaints. My Cajun fries were slightly underdone so they weren't nice and fluffy. The atmosphere was nice though, very Kentucky, if that makes any sense. They have lights with whiskey bottle shades and barrel shelves, and a seperate game room. Also shockingly bigger inside than outside (which is literally right outside a gas station). Overall, please get a seperate waitstaff, and get lil sauce cups for people who need extra sauce (don't need to be as big as our queso dip lol). Wouldn't go out of my way to get here but I wouldn't mind...

Upon arriving to this location it seemed very “Hole In The Wall” like. After all, it’s in between a gas station and liquor store. But when we went inside our expectations were blown out of the water. The inside was extremely clean, wasn’t very busy, and we were greeted by a very friendly waitress.

The food was fantastic and the beer on tap was the cherry on the top. The servers were extremely nice and you could tell that the relationship between them and the kitchen staff was very tight. They were joking and laughing together and overall it was just a happy environment.

We were also told that they do $1 wings on Sunday’s for the games! So you will absolutely...

I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the restaurant was clean. Unfortunately, that’s about the only good things I can say. There were only two people working, one was cooking and the other was waiting on customers. We waited 30+ minutes for our order to be taken. We’ve currently been here over an hour and still haven’t received food, yet. The one person working the floor was killing herself trying to wait on the bar and tables and taking orders from the phone by herself. I have no complaints about her. I truly felt sorry for her. She did the best she could under the circumstances. The management needs to figure something out or they won’t stay open...
