McDonald's — Restaurant in Boyne City

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely the most trashy McDonald’s in NM and that says a lot. Had a mobile order for 2 people when the first order was brought out we were told that they didn’t have an item the second order got so to substitute or refund it. We choose to refund but the lady just walked back in to the locked building without telling us how she would refund it. Then we sat for 20 minutes while watching cars go in and out of the drive through. Finally we tried to call the store as it has been a minute since we had talked with someone and got no answer. After more time passed we went up and knocked on the window but no one heard so we knocked harder and someone finally came out. It was the same lady before who said she would refund the one thing and asked “did you get your refund” that’s when I began to tell her we haven’t gotten anything of the second order or the refund and that we have been sitting for over 20 mins and tried to call and that I had to knock to get someone’s attention. She said it was because they were busy and I told her I understand but we have been sitting for awhile and are costumers as well. She wouldn’t let me finish but just said I’m just refunding your entire order and closed the door in my face. I went back to my car to wait for the refund and sat for a bit some more until I went back to knock on the window tired of waiting for over 30 mins at this point for a happy meal in the heat outside. A new lady came to the door and I began to explain to her when the lady from before came rushing to the door and the new lady just walked away. Before the lady from before could shut the door in my face again I asked if there was a number I could call and she told me to call “whatever number I would like”. We have experienced better treatment at a McDonald’s in the worst parts of town down state than we have here. Something that could have been figured out if she would have just talked or brought the food out. Just completely blown away by the disrespect and rudeness over something fixable. If she would have been nice when explaining they were busy and tried to actually listen we would have then just waited and be understanding because...

This was the wildest McDonalds experience ever! Find somewhere else to eat! After our order was placed at the self service screen because there was no one at the front counter, other customers warned us they had been waiting for 45mins for a cheeseburger and iced coffee. When they finally recieved it, it was cold. They asked for a refund. The manager from in the back yelled, "well they're just going to have to wait!" I asked an employee if our order was going to be 30-45mins, she said she didn't know, but we'll be waiting longer for a refund. After some yelling from the customers the manager finally came forward. She was aweful, yelling, and ignorant, before she refunded the other customers and then us. Our order had been placed 20 mins before we recieved the refund and we still hadn't recieved the drinks. 4-4-25 I have been to this McDonald's before and had great experiences. Today was different. I went through the drive thru and experienced the rudest man. I was asked to wait which I was happy to do. I sat there and watched 2 other cars go thru the other lane while I still sat there. When my server came on I did ask why I had to wait while 2 others went ahead of me. Acceptable question I thought. The man proceded to say he was busy, which I totally understand because I have been in the food industry for years. I get it. Then he asked "what do you want!" I placed my order. When I got to the window I addressed the rudeness. I told him I completely understood he was busy but it was not necessary to be rude. All in all, it ended up being my fault for his rudeness.
