Julie's Place — Restaurant in Brackettville

While staying here in brackettville Texas I decided to have something a little different and because of Google pictures I was able to see a burger that looked unique, so I came here to Julie's place in order the Mexicana Burger with fries. It comes on a homemade bun which takes it a little over the top in flavor and the fact that bun holds together better than a traditional bun. The burger had grilled onions bell peppers pepper jack cheese, avocado slices, lettuce and tomatoes, but not sure on condiments because the flavor was really good and I almost forgot a small thin slice of ham that was also grilled to give it that added flavor. Yum! The lemonade here is fantastic (do yourself a favor and get some) and served in a massive mug. We showed up on a Sunday and went with the lunch buffet and everything was delicious. It was a mix of feeling like after church lunch with your family and Thanksgiving (soooooo much food and you leave fuller than is probably wise).

The chicken was perfectly seasoned with crunchy skin and moist meat. The barracho beans were in a crock pot and just melted in your mouth. There was even deviled eggs!

We came by after a weekend at Kickapoo Cavern SP and recommend this stop for anyone nearby....

Horrible food.. idk if the others are locals & just don't have any other options.But who puts fibrous garlic peels in their beans? Looks like hair...so made my daughter disgusted then I was turned off because Initially I did not know what they were. Just cook to lazy to peel the garlic? 😖makes it so unappealing! Then breakfast time & no coffee? Dirty chairs & wobbly table. Loud waitress....just keep driving to Del rio or...
