First time here and we went for breakfast. They serve you homemade cinnamon rolls when you first sit down. They were AWESOME! We didn't know the breakfast was buffet style on Sundays but it was still really good. Great variety of things to choose from including fresh fruit cups, French toast, bacon, sausage, a breakfast lasagna, scrambled eggs, baked beans, corned beef hash and toast. I ordered a Bloody Mary to go with it which was good. I would recommend it and go back because I would like to see what their everyday menu looks like. Great local spot!

Appleseed did such a wonderful job catering our wedding! Nici was a pleasure to work with and was unbelievably accommodating, calming and helpful when we called in a panic two weeks before our wedding after our first caterer backed out. She handled everything and was able to make the entire menu gluten, dairy and nut free for our guests! We can’t say enough about this company and would recommend them to anyone for any occasion!!!! Thank you for making our wedding so wonderful!!!

Our neighbor wanted a destination for our snowmobile ride. Well sled owners this is it. A great brunch special, parking for sleds and right on a trail. Food was home made, atmosphere was country and people & staff over the top friendly. Even ran into one of the Game Wardens outside who helped unplug an ice block on my sled I didn't see. NH rocks.

Nestled in the tranquil woods of New Hampshire, Appleseed Restaurant offers a charming dining experience that blends rustic coziness with an inviting touch of hominess. Located off a serene, snow-covered road with an ice-laden river nearby, the restaurant provides a picturesque setting that perfectly complements the quiet, idyllic nature of the area.

Ambiance and Atmosphere Appleseed’s interior exudes warmth and charm. Low-level lighting and a glowing fireplace in the corner create an ambiance that feels like a welcoming embrace, especially on a crisp winter morning. With its minimal seating arrangement, the restaurant avoids overcrowding while ensuring ample space for comfort, making it an ideal spot for an intimate and relaxing meal.

Service The service at Appleseed was a highlight of the experience. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made every effort to ensure that guests felt cared for. Their approachable demeanor enhanced the meal, adding to the overall sense of comfort the restaurant provides.

Breakfast Buffet The breakfast buffet, Appleseed’s main feature, showcased an array of classic breakfast staples. Guests can enjoy hearty options like bacon, eggs, home fries, waffles, pulled pork, and baked beans, alongside lighter fare such as fresh fruit and corn nuggets. Accompanied by a selection of juices and freshly brewed coffee, the spread offers a satisfying range of choices.

The food, while not groundbreaking, has a distinctly home-cooked quality that is both comforting and satisfying. Every dish is prepared with care, evoking the warmth of a hearty homemade breakfast. The pulled pork and baked beans were a particularly interesting addition, reflecting a thoughtful nod to regional flavors.

Value For an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, the pricing is reasonable and aligns well with the quality and variety offered. Guests looking for a filling meal to start their day will find Appleseed an excellent option.

Final Thoughts Appleseed Restaurant is a charming destination for those seeking a cozy meal in a beautiful, serene setting. While the food may not be innovative, the overall experience—from the ambiance to the service—makes it worth a visit. Whether you’re a local or a traveler exploring New Hampshire’s quiet roads and quaint scenery, the breakfast buffet is a delightful way to start your day.

Haven eaten at the Appleseed Restaurant 6 years ago, and ever after referring to it as the place with the worst French fries we have ever eaten (they were extremely burned), we decided to give it another chance. We went to have the Sunday Brunch and were again disappointed. The home fries were tasteless, mini poppy lemon seed muffins tough and appeared to have been made from a mix, baked beans definitely not homemade and the fresh fruit unripe. The coffee tasted as if the coffee maker had not been cleaned in quite awhile. The eggs, bacon and hash were good, though nothing exceptional. Our waitstaff were not attentive and did not explain anything when we were seated. We had asked for coffee and water, were served coffee and finally at the end of the meal realized there was water at the self serve juice table. I'm not sure why this restaurant has survived as long as it has. Perhaps most of it's customers are going for the quantity rather than quality. Or perhaps their catering is better than their restaurant food and that is what keeps them in business. At any rate, this is one customer who is not going to give them another chance, even if it is 6 years...

Tonight we reserved a dinner cruise on Lake Sunapee for our 5th wedding anniversary. Man what a nice night for it! Well, we got there at the time scheduled and the boat had been gone for an hour!

There was a young man on the dock that was just about to leave from the cruise. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Called the boat and spoke with them. Someone will call us tomorrow! I told him there’s a reason why we aren’t on the boat.

Asked him for the closest restaurant. The one we picked we’ve wanted to try all year. They do the catering for the dinner cruise. He called and made a reservation for us. Gave us a name for when we got there.

We learned the cruise boat and restaurant are one and the same. Second Generation family. Pete the owner came out apologizing. Said he would be sure, even though it was a full boat, to get is on tomorrow nights cruise! Lisa was amazing wait staff. All around amazing and experience! And did right by us!

The owners should be very proud of themselves!! They run an amazing business!! Thank you for making our...
