I’m sure this is a lovely place if your skin matches the snow on the ground. But when a sour faced lady comes out of the store to tell you to move your car (which was parked right near another car with, you guessed it, a different color driver sitting in the driver seat and where there are no signs suggesting that it wasn’t the right place to park) without so much as a smile or a welcome, just to bark at you, then it is clear what they think of people who look like me. So many ways to be kind rather than sport her attitude, but I know why she was like that.
Unfortunate. That’s fine. My money is green and will work anywhere else. I don’t need to feel uncomfortable in my own skin...
Read moreSweet Beets has been our favorite place to shop for food since we started vacationing in the area seven years ago. Since they moved from a modestly sized farm stand to an inviting, spacious store they have been offering a significantly expanded range of products, from dairy, eggs, bison meat, chicken, and some fish to ice cream, frozen pizza, black bean burger (delicious!) to spices, coffee and tea and breads, etc. They also opened a cafe (initially days/hours are limited) and on the day we had to leave they offered amazing fresh pastries--fresh from the oven! Can't wait to go back there next year. The people running the place are exceptionally nice....
