We have enjoyed purchasing Wyse Guys pizza, subs, and wings since we moved into West Unity in 2016. We have never had a problem. Last weekend we ordered a couple subs and a pound of wings. I called and made the order with no issue - odd that we weren't given the final price, but perhaps the person was just busy. We picked up the order and it was nearly $10 more expensive than the Facebook menu listed, odd. We got home and there were no dipping sauces for the wings, odd. I called and asked about the large price difference after looking at our receipt and seeing it didn't appear there was any mistakes (example: medium sub other on the receipt was $9.50, menu lists as $8.50) and was told that prices increased recently. I asked why the menu hadn't been updated online and if we could come pick up a new one... they said that they weren't sure when they'd have new menus in or when FB would be updated. I asked about why they didn't mention the price increase on the phone or give a total, she didn't have an answer. I asked about the dipping sauce, she said you have to specifically ask for it now. We were pretty disappointed by the lack-luster conversation, the price increase with a total not being mentioned, and the dipping sauce not even being asked, "Would you like a dipping sauce with that?" But, we weren't going to make a big deal out of it... we've had good service and good food before, maybe it was a busy night. When we called tonight to make an order, we had to ask when it would be ready... and when we tried to thank the person they hung up on us... while this is only two situations they were back to back and the menu still hasn't been updated. We will be going elsewhere...
Read moreFirst time at Wyse Guys. We live in Pennsylvania and we were visiting family in Montpelier. The food was average but delicious. I do recommend cheesy bread and spicy Italian sub. Very clean establishment, with plenty of seating and great memorabilia on the walls. Love the Air Hockey and older pinball games. Now let's get to why it receives ONE STAR for service. There were eight of us dining in, and no one at that time in the establishment. So they seated us at an eight top, great (there were two 8 tops down the middle of the room). While we were waiting for appetizers ALL of us decided to play a few games. I, myself dropped 5 dollars on pinball, while others were spending money also. Went back to the table and ate apps and dinner. After dinner, we got up and proceeded to drop $80 in quarters into these, awesome nostalgic video games. I was playing miss pacman with my daughter when I lost track of the family. So we played for another few minutes. We went back to our seats, to find a different family sitting there. I was taken back for a second, till I turned around seen my family outside. Everyone was quiet till we got in the car and started driving away. On the ride back they told me what happened. The servers cleaned the table and moved our belongings (keys, food, and purses) without asking. Let me tell you, I was NOT very happy at all! I have worked as a busboy and bartender, you NEVER touch other people's belongings with you knowing they are still in the establishment. On top of that spending more $$$. I would say in total we spent at least $200. So please work on your customer...
Read moreMy husband and I went to a nice but packed local chain restaurant for a date night and decided to just drive for a while. We ended up at Wyse Guys Restaurant and Pizzeria and it was incredibly perfect for our much needed date night. When you first walk in your greeted not only by the awesome and friendly staff but by the most amazing smells. While we waited for our delicious specialty pizza, which was a med and we had a couple extra slices to take home with the freshest cheese bread left overs, we played in the game room and the food showed up so fast. You can taste the bread is home made in the best way. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back with our kids! Always respect a business owner still in the kitchen with the employees and making it a point to greet all his customers as well. All around...
