Top Fuel Saloon — Restaurant in Braidwood

It's a neat place with all the decor. I'm wondering if the people rating it 4 stars and above are sheltered eaters or they are basing it off of not many choices near by. The food was subpar. I mean edible but not much above. The empty parking lot should have been a clue. The steak sandwich AKA shoe leather served on an oversized dry bun was less than desirable. My child had to order a $12 cheeseburger that looked like a burnt thick piece of dried jerky. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the top fuel loaded fries. Won't stop here again.

The "half eaten fries" on my child's plate you should know aren't even served with the $12 burger. They were served with my Italian combo sandwich, which I shared with her. As for how long it has sat, I cut the sandwich and took the picture. So yes, burnt with hardened cheese is exactly how it was served. When i say forced it is due to absolutely no option on the menu for a child to choose from. Had to feed her something so your overpriced, over cooked, perfectly round (pattied on a machine) was the option The steak sandwich on the other plate that you referenced as a thick generous steak was tough as shoe leather and full of fat and gristle. My family and I were very excited to eat here as we heard great things about the food. However, we didn't even get a chance to order food before we left. The bartender was very rude. We were arriving after a funeral as a party of 15 to 20. She was very rude upon approach saying that we should have given her a heads up and that we would need to wait for our orders. After this, we still thought we would give it a chance and thought maybe her attitude would change knowing we would bring in money for her and the establishment. However, when I went to the bar to order a drink she was talking malicioisly about our entire group to other customers and how she couldn't believe we just showed up. So we called another establishment in town and they said they were happy to host us with such short notice. So we left and had a great experience elsewhere. I'm very disappointed because the owner is very nice (my family has known him for a few years) but the bartender had the worst attitude and gave us the worst experience I've ever had in such an establishment. The best local 5 star dive bar. I have go to Top Fuel Saloon a few times of year. I am never disappointed in the amazing food. The crew behind the bar greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcomed no matter what your drinking or wearing. Being fashionable and trendy is not a must have to be in the place. Be ready to rock hard to the music as there times there is live music performances. Octoberfest you must make it a point to eat here. Every time I go I order bison burgers or bison tacos. I love the laid back attitude and energy while making you feel welcomed. The owner works hard to have the latest whiskey in stock. He also has a huge selection of liquor on hand .He is a local DJ who has a heart of gold arranging events with Knights of the Innocent.
