A Disappointing Experience: Unprofessional Service at KFC

My recent visit to KFC left me deeply disappointed and frustrated with the level of unprofessionalism displayed by the company. From start to finish, the experience was marred by multiple issues that showcased a lack of respect for customers and a disregard for proper business practices.
I had placed an online order and arrived at the restaurant to pick it up, only to be met at the door by an associate who promptly informed me that my order was not ready, despite the app indicating otherwise. To make matters worse, I was informed that they were 20 orders behind. Despite this setback, I decided to walk into the restaurant and patiently waited for an additional 20 minutes, on top of the initial 30 minutes of waiting.
As a previous store manager for another company, I can confidently express that this was an incredibly unprofessional customer service experience. The lack of organization and communication within the establishment was evident as management acknowledged being understaffed with only two associates and faced numerous other issues that day. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism in a company of this scale.
Finally, when I received my meal, it was incorrect. I approached the staff to rectify the situation, only to be told that they couldn't fix it and that there was nothing they could do. Initially, they claimed they had run out of chicken, which later turned out to be a lie. The staff then shifted their reasoning, mentioning their backlog of orders as an excuse for their inability to address the mistake. This lack of accountability and refusal to resolve the issue further exemplified the unprofessionalism I encountered.
In an attempt to address these issues, I reached out to corporate, hoping for a resolution. However, I was met with a response stating that they hoped I would not return in the future. This dismissive and unprofessional reply from corporate is yet another example of the company's disregard for customer concerns and overall unprofessional approach to business.
It is with great disappointment that I share this review, hoping to shed light on the unprofessional service and practices I experienced at KFC. Read moreI honestly wouldn’t even rate this with 1 star if I didn’t have to. A few minutes before 9pm on 05/01/2025 I pulled to the drive-thru speaker. Moments later I was created with, “we’re not serving some of our menu items at this time.” I said, “ok, what are you not serving?” The young lady then asked what I was wanting. I told her the spicy chicken & nugget big box. The manager then came over the speaker and offered to sub the filet on my sandwich for tenders. She stated that the filet and nuggets need to be cooked so there would be a wait time. I told her that I was ok with waiting. She continued to offer subs so I asked her how long the wait would be. It was 11 mins on the filet and 4 mins on the nuggets. Ok, I’m cool with that🤷♀️I assured them I prefer fresh items anyway so I don’t mind waiting. I got to the window and did not get a greeting so of course I’m trying to see what the young ladies name tag says. After paying she asks me to pull around. My food came out about 15 mins later so that was great considering it was cook-to-order. However, I realized after leaving the window that I wasn’t handed a receipt or asked if I needed sauces. The young lady brought these things back out to me where I then realize her name is Kyndal. Kyndal def doesnt have very good customer service skills. The sandwich was a mess but the kid still liked it so that’s a plus. I’m honestly just trying to figure out why 4 of the last 5 times I’ve been to this location there have been issues with the order, short staff, and no available menu items. What’s going on with this location? I think you need to look into this KFC. You can’t keep people and are t getting customers for a reason and it’s starts at the top. Read moreThis is only my 2nd time visiting kfc since they opened thw new location. Though I'm sure it was long overdue for a renovation and everyone is most likely enjoy and appreciating the new work environment......I sadly am not happy about the long john silvers not being an option as my family never ordered the kfc only the fish and shrimp!!
Putting that aside and only reviewing today's experience with what I did order and the service I did receive.
10 minutes after returning home neither my husband or myself are eating at all.
His because he damn near choked to death even had to give him the hymleck maneuver due to a piece of grissel from his chicken lodged in his throat. Dismissing that as something that one COULD expect from chicken.
As for my nashville hot 3pc. I'm not sure what they have done to it...but it tastes worse than it looks (seen photo) sadly that's even possible !!! Fries were good though
