River Forge Brewery — Restaurant in Brandenburg

TLDR: Good beer, mediocre food. Since Nucor came to Brandenburg, we have gotten a lot of new places. The whole group of new fast-food restaurants along the Bypass for instance. I was looking forward to trying out River Forge Brewery for some time now. It's nicely appointed with tables and seating areas for you and your friends to get together. They even have some board games to play. We ordered the fried cod sandwich, chicken sandwich, fried mushrooms and a Welded Wheat beer for me. Angel had water to drink She's not a beer person, but that's ok. River Forge, if you read this I have some suggestions: when a customer asks for water, don't just point them to the water dispenser at the end of the bar. Give them a glass with some ice and water. And PLEASE put napkins out where the customers can find them. Our food arrived in a reasonable time. While waiting I sipped my beer and we chatted about the place. The fried mushrooms arrived and we sampled them. The dipping sauce was great and the mushrooms were delicious. The portion seemed a bit small for sharing. Then came the letdown; the sandwiches. They were small and overpriced and underwhelming. Seriously, a $10 small sandwich served with a bag of Lays. Where are the fries? We wondered why there were no hamburgers on the menu too. I recently had the pleasure of visiting River Forge Brewery in Brandenburg, KY, and it was an experience to remember! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family.

The highlight of my visit was definitely the “That’s the Ticket” beer. It’s a must-try for any craft beer enthusiast – so flavorful and perfectly brewed. You can really taste the passion and expertise that brewmaster Tom puts into every batch.

Christine, the bar master, ensures that every guest feels at home, and her attention to detail is evident in the quality of the frozen Sangria and the overall ambiance of the brewery.

And let’s not forget that rapscallion game master bartender, Cole! His charismatic personality and skill behind the bar add a unique touch to the experience. He knows how to pour an beer and keep the conversation lively.

We missed this place last time we were I Branderburg, so we decided to come back just to check it out. It did not disappoint. Industrial decor and fun vibes all around. They're a newer brewery, but they had 9 on tap of their own, always good to see a good variety. All were true to profile. It was good to get what you expected and done right. I didn't dislike any that I tried; I will definitely go again when in the area.
