This is my favorite local beach. All the white sand, warm water, and beautiful sunsets as Clearwater and St. Pete without all of the crowds and issues parking. This beach is huge, with a parking lot to suit its size. The amenities include large and fairly clean restrooms/changing areas, an outdoor rinse shower with a place to wash off just your feet, children's playground, and nearby hiking. This is the southernmost beach on Anna Maria Island, and I strongly suggest bringing food and beverages with you. Bradenton Beach is nearby and does have some stores and dining, but there really isn't much in walking distance from this beach.
