The Thimbleberry — Restaurant in Branford

This quaint and picturesque area has been my favorite place to relax usually after visiting my dentist in Branford but I never stepped in this establishment till yesterday. I tried pastrami reuben written on blackboard menu and was I surprised! It came out piping hot after about 5 minutes of prep time, perfectly grilled crunchy butter toasted delicious bread, succulent and juicy pastrami, sauer kraut done just right, and whatever dressing that complmented overall taste. I savored every bite of this amazing sandwich as I watched people walking and doing their thing...

Went here around 7:30pm on a Friday and it wasn't very busy, short line and the service was quick. The girls at the counter answered all our questions about the different sizes of the ice cream scoops and we were very friendly especially working on July 4th weekend.

We ordered the coffee Oreo ice cream which was pretty good and the cookie batter, but was literally only cookie dough ice cream. I guess if you were looking for a more cookie batter ice cream, it's just cookie dough in...

I kinda hate to give this place a good review, just because it’s a great find, and if you’re a local, that’s where you’re going to go. I love the just good home style cooking. Good food nice service, fantastic location. Please though, don’t tell everyone about this place. I would hate to see it taken...
