we called ahead of time to make sure we could get a place out on the deck with a good view of the water. We were assured that we would be able to, but when we arrived, the hostess was somewhat rude. Saying that we would have to order inside, but we could take to go boxes outside if we wanted to. She proceeded to try to put us somewhere we didn’t wanna be in the corner. I assured her I just seen somebody walked past her with a tray full of food to feed the people outside. I was quite confused as to why we would not be able to eat out on the deck or why we have to go outside to eat out of to go boxes. We were here for a doubledate. I don’t know if it was because we were Hispanic or because the way we were dressed. Mind you, we were not dressed inappropriately for the occasion. Were dressed quite casual. But somewhat fancy. But nothing too over the top. So she proceeded to sits in the corner. There are two menus you can choose from one with cheaper options or one with upscale options. She handed us the cheaper option menu. We had went for a nice dinner out and really wanted to up skill menu because we traveled across several states to come to visit as one of our last nights in town and we wanted to go all out. The lovely waitress named Lacey came by. We did not mention what had previously happened. I just simply asked. Can we get a table out on the deck? She was very polite and asked for us. She was very immediate in her response and proceeded to seat us out on the deck. We were very grateful for her and she gave us the more Upscaled menu. She was very tentative and responsive doing her best. I really appreciate her going above and beyond even taking family photos for us. So huge shout out to Lacey. I hope I spell her name, right. But just a heads up for anybody else that wants to go ask for Lacey and if they try to sit you in the corner and tell you, you can’t eat on the deck unless you have a to go box. Just try asking again. Overall, really great view really great food! Great drinks, great atmosphere other than...

DONT Go to the FOURTH of JULY festival. Lovely hotel. Don’t get me wrong. But it Sucks!!!!!! Just go to the other side of the river and watch the same fireworks. DONT give your money to this hotel on freedom day. Let me give examples. 15$ parking. 1. Got there 3 1/2 hours early for good spot. Rude security directing me in. 2.The “viewing area” is cement. With tall trees all around. 3.No one knew the direction the fireworks were going to be. 4. The party is an extra 34$. 5. Not many snacks except ice cream, and expensive alcohol drinks. 6. The actual show had weird breaks in it, but was overall exciting. 7. Fireworks right over us, cool at first, but very Smokey. 8. Workers told someone they couldn’t use the restroom because they weren’t hotel guests( even though they payed the fee to get in.) 9. Music wasn’t loud enough or really patriotic much. 10. A very rude family sat in front of us, not much the hotel can do about that. They hit me in the face with glow sticks, but a hotel photographer came to take pictures of their kids during the fireworks. Really a cherry on top of how annoying they were. 11. The actual show was very short. Bright and loud, but short. 12. It’s an hour later. and IM STILL STUCK IN TRaFFIC IN ThE PARkiNG LoT!!!!! Where are the people who directed me in? Why would I pay this fee for this treatment? The worst firework traffic I’ve ever experienced and payed to get in. I’m still staring at my parking space in line, haven’t moved at all. How dare you chateau on the lake. I’ve stayed here before, and loved it, but I will never be back. I get that some things you can’t control. But this is too far. Seriously!!! All these people that I’m looking at stuck in traffic, that you basically robbed!!! DONT take my money if you won’t direct traffic to smooth out my already rocky experience here. Reader, if you do decide to go see the fireworks, and pay the fee at the chateau, come late so you can park near the exit. The people who come early are...

We dined here for brunch on Sunday. I made a reservation for 11:15, waited until 11:35 to be sat. After getting sat, a bus boy filled our waters, but we waited for our waitress to bring drinks for 30 minutes. She didn’t walk over to our area once. Once she came over, she said she forgot about us, and apologized. We were understanding, because we were not sat directly in the main dining room. Once she brought drinks, I finished my first mimosa in hopes that when I came back from the buffet, it would be refilled; instead they had bussed and reset our entire table assuming we left, with my purse still sitting in the chair. we then waited another 30 minutes for our server to walk back over. We eventually grabbed the attention of a 3rd staff member to bring our check. After we put our card in the book, we waited another 20 minutes for the server to return with our card and copy of the receipt. I found our server, asked for our card, and we left disappointed.

This is a $45/person buffet, I would expect at least some form of hospitality or service. All of the food was cold, we waited in line for eggs benedict to be brought from the kitchen, and it came out ice cold. Absolutely disgusting. I’ve worked fine dining for years and will advise against visiting this establishment from now on.

Update: they reached out after receiving this review, and they issued a refund. i am glad that we could...

Michael the server was funny, personable and attentive! Loved him! Great service!! Now….for the food. For one, we had a party of about 15 people which is bringing good business to the establishment, with that being said we are all paying customers and I was very very disappointed that upon arrival we were forced to select from a prefixed menu of two entrees because are party was “too large”. I was really excited to try the seafood and was disappointed. The bread was harder than a rock that flew out of a volcanic eruption. If I threw the bread at someone I’m certain they would get a concussion BUT the compound butter was good. The salad that we were FORCED to order, was absolutely disgusting! I have never in my entire life seen baby sardines on top of a salad. It made the entire salad fishy and frankly my stomach rumbled as soon as it sat on the table. Out of 15 people at the table….No one ate it. Now the main dish was PHENOMENAL if I wasn’t there for a work event I probably would’ve scraped the plate but I had to resist my urge! Even though I wouldn’t have ordered it originally …I still REALLY enjoyed it. Please please make some edits to the salad. It was a horrible first impression and the joke of the night. We were almost scared that there were sardines hidden in the rest of the food. CHEERS!! And keep up the great service Micahel and Jake!

Chateau Grille was phenomenal tonight! Service was exceptional (Mae was a delight and so sweet!) and the food...oh the food! We started with an order of the Pan Seared Crab cakes that were great! You get 3 decent sized cakes with remoulade and an excellent red pepper emulsion decorating the side of the dish...be sure to dip to add a little extra yum! For entrees, we got the Local Prime Filet and the Chef's Land and Sea. Steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I didn't even use the bearnaise they have on the side of the Land and Sea! For dessert we got the cheesecake and the flourless chocolate cake...by now we were stuffed, but couldn't help ourselves to a sweet treat to wrap up such a great meal! They were both excellent, but be warned...they are big enough to share, so plan on a to go box :) Also, do yourself a favor and order a cocktail...we had the Blackberry Mojito mocktails which were very yummy, but we also heard the chatter around us of how good the alcoholic drinks were! Overall, 10/10 experience and HIGHLY recommend giving it a shot for dinner...you won't regret it!
