Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Brazil

A very disappointing visit today. Their posted menu showed prices for different items but when it came time to ring them up the actual cost was significantly higher. I asked him why that was and the clerk counterperson told me. Oh I guess they just haven't updated it. I asked to talk to the manager the manager never came out to talk to me whether it was the counter person or the manager. I do not know but somebody dropped the ball. Either way, they should have adjusted my price to match that of their display price and not try it sneak in a price change on me. I canceled my order and just got a mini blizzard instead of ordering a double cheeseburger which was significantly higher than their posted price on the Marquee Additionally, their blizzards were not very solid, yes, they did the flip test, but when we started heating it, it was quite runny. My wife liked the taste of hers and mine was a little short on Snicker pieces. The dairy Queen and Terre Haute which is just down the road has better quality level of food. I don't know if it's related to the recent makeover, but that's twice. We've been in there and been slightly to greatly disappointed. The only issue I've ever had with this place was one day (Sunday - 03/09/2014 - at 6:30 PM EST) when I drove up to the drive-thru to order a medium vanilla cone. I was the only person in the drive-thru at the time and the only other customer the 5 or so Bieber-boppers were serving was some older lady at the walk up...

Maybe it was just the idiot running the window (some idiot teenage chick) because she not only took about 5-10 minutes to take my order as some other idiot decided to honk their horn as they pulled up behind me but she also gave me a small cone instead of the medium that I asked for (I'd hate to see the small cone someone like this would be responsible for because the one she charged me for was about 4" above the crown of the cone). To top it all off, she was simply rude (i.e. - very short and practically threw my card at me without saying anything) and very preoccupied with some conversation she was having with a co-worker about some party she went to.

But all that BS aside, the place is good and would've been given 4 instead of 3 from me were it not for the twat at the window... The chances of this happening to you (the reader of my review) is pretty slim. This only...

My experience with this Dairy Queen is only with their drive-through service. I think in order to avoid lines interfering with incoming traffic and parking the entrance to the drive-through ordering screen starts immediately as you come in off the street. Go left for parking, follow the arrows on the right which will take you around to the ordering screen. The Brazil dairy Queen is very popular, so this was a wise move on their part. There is a raised patio surrounded by waist high rod iron look fencing outside the entrance to the Dairy Queen where you can sit and chat while you enjoy your treat. The food is Dairy Queen great with the addition of a variety of sandwiches and other hot food. They have a really nice pulled pork barbecue sandwich, and their chili cheese dogs are to die for. A tip: If you order mustard on your chili dog and you want just a small amount of mustard let them know.
