Yesterday we had 3 relatives from the Houston area coming through to visit on their way east. So my neighbors, my husband and myself were meeting them for lunch. I recommended Mi Tios. Actually told them the food was as good as any Texas Mexican restaurants. We all met there at 11:30 and entered. We were standing there for quite a while before we were seated. Maybe three other tables occupied that we could see. It took about 10 minutes for our drink order was taken. And MUCH to my surprise we were served water without ice and a tea that was so hot it melted what little ice was in it! The guys both order a beer that sat on the bar until we actually had to ask for it. Our order did come out, in stages, but the bad turned to worse.... Terry had enchiladas that were so cold it had grease congealed on top. Debbie's burrito had cheese on it that had to be cut with a knife and was Luke warm inside. Cristeen has soggy cold quesideas that had liquid coming out of them. Tyler and myself had the burritos that was pictured on the menu, not sure of the menu name. They were both very dry inside and not hot at all. Rice was even cold. Worst part was the Charro beans tasted sour. One spoon was enough to tell me that I did not need to get sick eating them and told Terry not to either! Now, we have eaten at Mi Tios enough times to know this was not normal. The food there has always been excellent! But to have talked everyone into eating there and all being soooo disappointed made me very embarrassed. Do not know the circumstances but thought you should be aware of this for the...
Read morePlaced a call-in order for pickup. We used their website for pricing and description. Big mistake! Person taking order said that it would be approx. 10-15 minutes which it was. Arrived at restaurant to pick up order and I was given a total price that was about $10 more than what their website stated, but whatever. No problem. I paid the bill and left the young lady at the front counter a tip. I picked up my order and headed back to my house without checking the order. Big mistake of mine #2. I shouldn't assume that my order is correct before leaving the restaurant. Get home and check the food. One of the items was incorrect. Get back in my car and drive back to the restaurant. I explain to what I assume is the manager who is now standing at the front counter that the order was incorrect. She takes it to the kitchen and has them correct it. She says "I'm sorry sir". Thanks for the "sorry". How about a partial refund, or a voucher for a free entree, or even a free beverage while I waited? Nothing. My advice, not that it matters, is that you update your website to reflect the current prices and correct descriptions of the menu items. Food was...
Read moreI’m sure this will get deleted because it seems like this is the kind of business sense they have. Bland, no taste. I only took a couple of bites of my food. A waste of money. The steak stuffed fried avocado had barely a teaspoon of meat, the avocado wasn’t even warm, and wasn’t fried long enough so the dough was chewy. My beef chili relleno came with no beef and undercooked and when I was finally able to tell the waitress when she was getting our bill ready, she immediately told me she couldn’t take it off the bill. Even though it wasn’t right, it was brought to the table and I should have said something when she came and asked if everything was ok. At that time, I hadn’t tried it yet and didn’t know it was wrong. Didn’t see her again until she was ready to start handing out the bill. She said she would “talk to them and see what she could do” but when she came back and said I had to pay it and I asked for a manager, she claimed to be one of the managers and wouldn’t go get the actual manager. Don’t waste your...
