The rest rooms are terrible I can’t believe this place is still open the only thing keeping them open is the bar/lounge the drinks they pour are very stiff. That can be the only reason I assume this place is open. I remember going there 25 years ago and it still looks the same. I also remember the ceiling tiles were yellow from cigarette smoke. Good thing that hasn’t changed the acrid smell of smoke still lingers in the restaurant. The restrooms were so filthy. The faucets in the men’s room had not been cleaned in so long that it had so much calcification from water and filth around it. There’s seem to be remnants of vomit on the walls around the toilet obviously from someone’s dinner days maybe even weeks ago. The walls have been covered with a FRP at sometime, and that has since become embedded with dirt. The divider from the urinal to the toilet in the men’s room. So rotted off at the bottom with urine and God knows what else. You can see it’s rotting away. I finally had a meal there this past weekend and I ordered the pierogies for me and my daughter I was told they were from a local church I like to support local churches and local businesses, however these pierogies were defiled. They deep-fried them and I’m sure several months old grease and barely sautéed any onions and threw them on there. When I asked my server, who was obviously trying to rush us out of there to turn a table, when there were several empty tables around us . If I could order these next time and have them sautéed instead of deep fried, she looked at me and said no we won’t do that. I thought wow my mom would be spitting in her grave right now if she knew that somebody deep fried pierogies. Let alone a Church’s pierogies. I will go back, but only to have a drink at the bar in a dirty glass because the bartenders put so much alcohol in it. It kills all the germs. At least...
Read moreMy husband, myself and our 3 & 5 year old went here at 5pm on a Friday after having it recommended by many people. After looking up images online, I was a little skeptical as it looked pretty rundown, but we figured there had to be a reason why people recommend it. And after going myself, I still don’t understand it. When we walked in we weren’t sure if we needed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves, and stood there for a few minutes being stared at by the bartender and others at the bar before having to ask a rather unpleasant server. We sat ourselves. The tables were sticky and there was a smell to them, like they had been wiped down with super dirty water or something. As far as being kid friendly, it is not. They don’t have a kids menu, which by itself I don’t care about at all, our kids are fine with appetizers anyways. But when we went to order, we went through a list of about 4 or 5 things only to be told they were either out or not making them today. They ended up having a side of rice pilaf. I got a steak which i immediately regretted.. as a side I got red potatoes which I stupidly assumed would be mashed or something… but they were quartered mini potatoes that were cold, barely cooked and absolutely no seasoning. Overall, the general feeling I got was the staff didn’t care whether you like it, it’s sort of “take it or leave it” and very unapologetically themselves, which is fine, but not at all something I would recommend to someone new to the area. I would HANDS DOWN recommend Courtyard Cafe...
Read moreI want to be very clear. I am a resident of Brecksville and strongly support local vendors however my experience at London Pickle Works this evening is extremely unsafe for the community.
I ordered the buffalo grilled chicken wrap and my chicken was completely raw on the inside. I called the restaurant and was denied over the phone. Donna stated that it was impossible the chicken could be raw. I drove back to restaurant, showed the waitresses and Donna the raw chicken at which point she said “ewwww!”
I was never apologized to and instead was quickly given a refund, told “You’ll be alright”, and shoved out the door. I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and uncooked food is an extreme risk with severe consequences of miscarriage and fetal abnormalities. I was dismissed. No one cared or apologized. I can only imagine how many other customers this is happening to.
I will be following up with the Owner, Garry. This is despicable to the city of Brecksville to have such an abhorrent restaurant serving undercooked food to...
